Together, Again. + agentdjekyll
This would be their seventh date, if Isaac counted correctly. Which he did, of course--he was always adamant about that. In the span of just two weeks, Isaac and Dane had seen each other not once, twice, but already six times. Although, this did not include the constant text messaging and hours-long phone calls that lasted well into the night. (Proving to be an almost regrettable decision in the morning; damn their age and work.)
And through all of this, Isaac was blatantly happy; a while since he was truly such. Dane made Isaac feel absolutely comfortable around him and his daughter January, much to his pleasure. The professor fell in love with the girl almost instantaneously, something often joked about across their dinner/lunch/cafe table.
Now, Isaac had a small, delicately selected bouquet of flowers clutched in his hands, just for Dane. He was almost nervous to knock upon his office door--an outing for lunch was what they had planned. (This was the first time Isaac had ever visited Dane's office; the secretary out front greeted him most cheerily, much to Isaac's amusement. It was as if they've met before.)
His hand was just about to raise again, just before he heard a calling from the inside. He swallowed the anxiousness that threatened to tighten his throat; although thiswasn't their first date, Isaac still became school-girl-giggly around Dane. Still, Isaac pushed forward, biting his lip to stop a smile from growing any wider.
"Hi there, Mr. Jekyll. Special delivery for one."
