It’s that time again! Please note I will only @mention URLs once for any thread that is owed, so if you’re sat there thinking something’s gone missing, do get in touch. I will also only send these mentions after at least a month has passed so that I’m not messaging people too often.

He passed by her when he went into the kitchen and stopped to give her a kiss. “We can talk or not. Whatever you want.”

“This was a mistake, Clara.” John had never been to one of these rich-people parties, with all the dancing and wine and dresses practically made of money. Clara had paid for nice new clothes John was wearing for the event, but he still stuck out like a sore thumb. Somehow the guests could tell he wasn’t one among them, no matter how much he committed to lingering in the corner and nursing the same glass of wine throughout the whole night.

Clara had had to socialize, as was a woman’s expectation during these things, but had finally finished saying polite hellos to everyone and now conspired with him in his corner. “I don’t know how to do these things. You don’t even like these things. What are we doing here?”

The frenzied anger in his face drained, leaving a stone-cold fury behind. “Then don’t be.”

He wouldn’t listen to any more of this, so he brushed past her and yanked his jacket off the coat hook, toppling the whole thing over. “If you find my kind so repulsive, then go back to your own. You can pretend we never planned to marry."

He pulled his coat on and made for the door. “Would that finally make you happy?”

|The reunion|

The Doctor had been careful since he disappeared, doing his best to stay hidden. It was the only way he could get a good look as to what had changed, namely with one specific person. One very precious human and to be honest, he wasn’t too pleased.

In time that he’d been gone, she had seemed to have moved on. This definitely mad The Doctor very jealous and angry. He had been replaced and someone else had what was rightfully his. So at this point, he was waiting for the right time come out and reveal himself. First he wanted to make sure she was alone.

It had been far too long since he had been able to speak to her, especially alone. When the opportunity presented itself, the Time Lord stepped out of the shadows and walked towards Clara.

“Clara...” He said, talking softly and quietly but making sure she could hear him. “My Clara...”

| Emergency Landing |

Wednesday. It was always a Wednesday. Wednesdays were their days. He had planned on bringing her to Tau Ceti, and he’d been planning it for a while. He’d gone from Wednesday to Wednesday, planning every detail of the trip. Wednesday after Wednesday, they ran on some distant planet, or some different time on Earth, and he’d trip occasionally. He was just clumsy like that.

This was the Wednesday he would bring her to Tau Ceti, the most beautiful planet he could think of, the most amazing. He had planned to wait outside of Coal Hill for her, perhaps surprise her during one of her free classes, and off they would go, back again in time for her next class.

That was what he had planned. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out that way.

Flying the TARDIS proved to be difficult all of the sudden. Maybe he was caught in an asteroid belt, but the monitors told him that nothing was wrong outside the Police Box doors. The ground felt like it was shaking under him, the console room spinning around and around at sickening speeds. He kept tripping, his feet being very uncooperative, and everything looked a bit…blurry. His hands were trembling, his grip struggling, fingers shaking too badly to grab onto the next lever. He took in a weak breath, closing his eyes to try and blink the blurriness away, and stepped back. His whole body was shaking uncontrollably.

There had to be something wrong, he figured. But the monitors disagreed. Everything was fine. Everything except for him.

Something was wrong. Why couldn’t he just stop shaking? He took a step farther back, the color draining from his face. He swayed on his feet, reaching a hand out to the railing to steady himself. If he could just land, he could figure out what was wrong. He just needed to land.

Sweat was beading at his brow as he stepped to the console, his vision too blurry to make out what control was what. He felt like he was going to be sick. Desperately, he reached out to the console, pushing a lever back. The TARDIS started shaking, materializing into Clara’s flat, and that was when the world went black for the Doctor, and he collapsed to the floor.

Outside, the bulb on top flashed red, flashing a warning that something was wrong.

“I like the way you think.” He flopped down on the bed and patted the spot next to him. “You’re always freezing, anyway. You could do with a bit more body heat once in a while. Lucky for both of us that I’m hot.”

He wiggled his eyebrows. “Take that how you will.”
