quick little announcement! we are aware that the character navigation page is broken (thank you tumblr, you little hellsite you...), and admin lex is working really hard to find a new one and get everything fixed (because admin mel is useless at these things). please bare with us, and we’ll let you know once it’s up and running! if you need anything in the meantime, feel free to drop us a message or hit up the inbox!

something wicked this way comes...

the leaves on the trees are turning from brilliant green to golden, reds, and brown. the nights are growing darker and a chill, not unlike those caused by dementors, settles over the country. yet, flyers have been spread throughout the neighbourhoods of both muggle and magic alike, announcing the arrival of a spectacular season event: the halloween carnival.

we will be dropping an event on the 13th of october, which will run through to halloween, at least. all details about the specifics, including games and activities, will be provided on the day of the drop. prepare your characters for a scary good time. 

( similarly, if your character has an activity, stall, or game they would like to run, please contact us, and we can work on adding it to the list! )

additionally, we are going to have an activity check on the 8th of october. if you’re recently off hiatus, please make sure to get a post up. if you need a hiatus, please contact an admin or shoot a message to the main before placing a post in the hiatus thread. thank you!

welcome to ADHONOREM season two: now featuring muggles.

We have so many new announcements regarding this revamp to share. To begin with, thank you all for being with us for over a year of writing! The admins and mods are all thrilled to have crossed this threshold together. In addition to a theme and graphic overhaul, the introduction of muggles into our story arc, and a mass informational update, we are bringing to you some vital resource and reference blogs. If you notice that a page hasn’t been updated quite yet, please be patient with us as we’re trying to get it all up and running as quickly as possible. We will pin this post at the top of the page and link what has been completed on this list.

The following pages will see a change:

Plot - has been updated to reflect the current story arcs.

Rules - has been updated to reflect changes regarding how we are going to be handle activity.

Locations - has been updated and a form for additional locations has been created.

Masterlist - has been updated to reflect the new faction.

Occupations - has been updated to reflect the new characters.

Notable Characters - has been created to help acquaint you with important roles for our worldbuilding.

Timeline - has been created to help orient yourself with what has happened thus far in our plot arcs.

Factions - has been created to help clarify the position of characters within their alliances. There has been the addition of Roles which will explain what sort of relationship they have to the faction. There has also been the addition of Inner Circles. This will serve as those who work the most closely with the leader of each war faction and bring in a power struggle aspect. Please take note that there will be a limit to character amount within each inner circle per writer.

Resource Blog - this is a blog dedicated to helping our writers with resources. both aesthetically and in regard to our worldbuilding and character building. themes, psds, wand, and more wonderful resources are going to be housed here.

The Revolution - this is a blog that we will be using to direct attention to and have better interaction through big in character news and developments.

a new force rises...

Just when the magical world began to believe that the dust had settled following the most recent battles, just when it became easy to forget about the world existing beyond the borders, the ominous clouds gathered the sky once more. The flashing lights of battle obscured by dark alley corners, plumes of smoke circled skyward with no sign of fire, timelines that never seemed to add up to a full day began to add up. They finally pushed the act too far. Muggles may not have magic, but they began to take notice. The magical community had not been the only one affected when walls had been blasted to pieces, when foundations came crumbling down, when chaos unleashed itself like a natural disaster. When they recovered the dead from the streets, it was muggle and magic alike. Unlike the witches and wizards at war, the muggles were defenseless and ignorant. They became nothing but collateral damage. Even the muggle emergency services were overwhelmed with inexplicable calls from the terrified. There were injuries that no one could treat, and doctors had never seen before. The Ministry of Magic didn’t have the range to obliviate them all in time.

Enough was enough.

Neither the Death Eaters nor the Order nor the Ministry nor the Daily Prophet could have predicted what happened next. While the wizarding world was still piecing together their broken pieces, tallying the missing, identifying bodies, cleaning the rubble, and rebuilding their strongholds, the muggles who managed to evade memory alteration gathered and grew in number. They traded whispers in an old, battle damaged pub, swapped ghost stories of magic in London streets by midnight light, delved into the theoretical horror of witches and warlocks, and marked every piece of information out on a map until they managed to connect the dots.

Since the night of the battle, the streets of Diagon Alley had been eerily quiet. The Leaky Cauldron had been almost empty of every last patron when it was suddenly swarmed, although not by Death Eaters or any recognizable Order faces. No. This was a ragtag group with P.A.M. emblazoned across their clothing and weapons. That’s right. Weapons, not wands, were clutched in their hands. Some of these determined muggles even wielded firearms. Under the leadership of STELLA LEVITT, the muggles stormed through and made it known that they would be bystanders no longer.

One small, homemade explosive ensured their path into Diagon Alley, and with that defiant act, these muggles suddenly became part a knowing of this Wizarding War.

welcome to adhonorem season two: now featuring muggles.

This is going to be an exciting new phase for our group! This serves as the official introduction to our muggle band of resistance fighters. Please welcome into play the Protectors Against Magic army - otherwise known as PAM. To clarify, the entire muggle world is not aware of magic. This is just a limited group of muggles who have and continue to evade memory alteration magic. 

We are now accepting applications for muggles who are affiliated with PAM. We are soon releasing a series of premade character skeletons involved in the army. If you’re interested, you can find them here. These characters will have more specific assigned roles in the army already established.

This post also serves as the official announcement that our group is getting a revamp! The admin and mod team have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to give the theme, graphics, references, and resources a well-deserved make-over. Please keep an eye out for the upcoming post that is going to give more detail into what to expect soon!
