Inevitably, it’s come to this. I’m looking for someone to take over Libraries in Video Games.
I am grateful for the initial support in the idea, the contributions, the reblogs, and the bump in Oct 2014 that led to a staggering increase in followers, more than I’d have ever expected. Thanks for following the infrequent efforts of myself and my earlier co-collaborator mohamednazmi since May 2014.
I still love the idea of documenting libraries in video games, and I think there is value in representing library culture and communities in games, and in documenting them, and celebrating them. (Relevant tag: why libraries)
But unfortunately, it’s just a much lower priority among my web projects and I can’t keep up.
Send me a message if you are interested. What you’d get if you take over:
15 unpublished, incomplete drafts, with either pictures or descriptions.
4 drafts (for now) containing links and resources, but no pictures or descriptions.
If someone volunteers to take over, I’ll instantly give you admin rights, and it’s up to you what you do with the blog. I would like if the older posts made during my time were to be kept intact, but obviously I wouldn’t have control over that.
If no one steps up, I'll keep the Tumblr up anyway, but I can't promise at all when I will update it.
To the thousands who followed this humble little Tumblr blog, hoping to be entertained and to celebrate together in the intersection of libraries and video games, thank you and sorry if I disappointed you.
