One of my pet peeves about RA is not that religion is simply absent from the medieval setting (which is inaccurate but forgivable), but the majority of the main characters actively make comments against religion. Which, like, isn't that big a deal. I'm definitely throwing things outta proportion. But it peeves me off. So when I was making my inspo Pinterest board for Aileen, I threw in some medieval Catholicism and also some modern Catholicism. Her mom's rosary ends up being pretty important character wise. She is Catholic

Alr so if you saw this post then you'll know that I now have a new oc, MY version of Will's apprentice! Because I did not like how Maddie was handled at all, personally. Anyways, her name is Aileen, and I'm a little obsessed

Her parents are Hibernian immigrants, but they wish they were Araluen instead. They refuse to teach her anything about Hibernia. They are very devout Catholics and expect her to be as well. They are protective over their little girl and rarely allow her to leave the house. The only time she's allowed to leave alone, even rarer, is for her to attend church. Of course, she takes this opportunity to head to the market and chat with as many people as she can find. I love her. She's so precious to me. I will kill anybody who hurts her
