Was it a female or male artist? Being somewhat of a Frenchie myself, Coeur de Pirate and Alizee are pretty mainstream when it comes to French ladies. The Civil Wars just released a French song as well, but those are all female voices.

It was a female vocalist, definitely. The song was definitely less - upbeat-dancy-poppy, and more... slow and sweet and maybe just a tiny bit sad? 

Like, the kind of thing you would listen to laying in bed on a lazy sunny, dewy Sunday morning. 

While I wouldn't say the melody is EXACTLY like it, or the content even the same, the pacing and over all tone of it kind of made me think of Cinderella's So This is Love, if that makes any sense at all. I'm like, 80% sure it was made sometime in the past 5 or so years, it didn't feel like something terribly dated, but I could be wrong.

I'll definitely check those artists out, though, they sound just a wee bit familiar, thank you =)

I actually use a self-sharpening pencil liner - this one - covergirl.com/eye-mak… - and fix the point with my finger, because the pencil part is soft and allows for it. Liquid liner is way difficult.

I've actually bought this exact one before. It never lasts on me, though, because my skintype is kind of super oily. It either smudges right off or the oil in my skin breaks it down after like an hour, spreading and absorbing it, and I look like a panda doing a walk of shame.

B, I, L, Z

B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind

Uhm – The one that comes immediately to mind is Capril, heh – and amusingly enough, it was from the Apritello shippers that I found more of an appreciation for it.

I joined the TMNT fandom with the 2012 series and kind of fell in love with Apritello and their chemistry.  When it was announced that Casey would be joining the roster of characters in season two, I was like, ahhhh, geeze.  I WANTED to like Capril, truly I did, because I knew it was an inevitability, and I thought that if I went back and watched some of the older stuff, I would eventually see what was so great about them.

So I watched episodes from the 2003 series, and the 2007 movie, and was just like – WHAT NO WHY. From what I saw, I just couldn’t figure out why they were even together? Like – I’m not hating on Casey’s character at all. Alone, he’s fantastic and I love, love, LOVE him – but I just didn’t see what someone like April (intelligent, discerning, mature) could see in him, and TBH, it felt like she could do better than someone so rough, irresponsible and wreckless. They just seemed very mis-matched and forced, is all?

It wasn’t until I read fanfiction and character analysises of Casey, done by people who had nothing but respect for him (but likewise, just preferred April with Donnie) that I could see it maybe sort of being believable and working out in 2012.

I’ll probably always prefer Apritello, but Capril’s not the end of the world.

I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why

I don’t think… tumblr has RUINED-ruined any fandoms for me, exactlyyyy.  Maybe the ATLA/LOK fandom, because of dumb, vicious ship wars STILL going on from ATLA (WTF) and people just – unwilling to look at LOK objectively for all the problematic themes and shoddy writing, and basically just willing to merrily swallow whatever Bryke craps out – then turning angry and defensive when you try critiquing it and pulling out the old “It’s just a kid’s show!” chestnut. Nooooo no no no.

L - Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for?

AH GEEZE. I don’t really have a ONE set favorite-favorite across-the-boards  this-person-beats-out-EVERYONE author.  I do have two different people from two different fandoms that I just – really really love, though.  They are just – ridiculously mad talented people. The dimension they add to the characters and just - the way they string words and phrases together, and the way they can so vividly paint colourful 3D imagery with just words is amazing and often leaves me awed.

(TMNT) If theherocomplex offered – I’d probably request some Raph/Casey interaction, or possibly something Leo-centric, because I haven’t QUITE found my appreciation for Leo yet, but I don’t doubt she could bring me around to it.

(Parapines) If aimais offered me up a request – Ah, man – probably this dumb request from forever ago, or just Norman/Mabel relationship-building funtimes.

Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go

MAN. There aren’t really many fandoms that I actively get into and engage in. Like, I love(d) Doctor Who and Welcome to Night Vale, and A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones and Avatar the Last Airbender, with a furious passion. But – I’ve never really got into it to the point where I was – making fanart, and writing fanfiction and actively… going out and finding people to engaged in conversation with people.

But of the two fandoms I’ve engaged in the most here on tumblr (Parapines and TMNT 2012) I’ve made SO many friends, and met SO many wonderful people, like yourself.

The TMNT fandom in particular has been absolutely crazy. I’m just kind of – blown away by the friends I’ve made in such a short amount of time. Even though I’m a novice shellhead, it feels like I’ve been welcomed in completely with a big warm bosom hug and pats on the head and just sldlkmf;ldmf I LOVE YOU ALL ;_;
