It never failed to amaze her -- the sheer amount of movement that defined the World of the Living. Nelliel stood in the middle of the street, unseen, as souls passed her by and a wind played with the ends of her hair. Even the sun was not content with its place in the sky. Before long it would lie straight overhead, her morning gone already. No wonder they were always rushing.
Fortunately for her she had nowhere in particular to be. After visiting Ichigo, Orihime, and the rest of their friends, she was free to simply enjoy the rest of her time before returning to Hueco Mundo. But thoughts of home were interrupted by a flash in the corner of her eye, an electric blue that stirred her memories. They hadn’t seen him in months, the idea of finding him here was impossible; yet Nelliel began to move toward it all the same, if only to be certain it wasn’t --
“Grimmjow?” She reigned in the worst of her surprise with a blink. When she spoke again, her voice were sharp, suspicious.
“-- What are you doing here?”
