how long have you had your asics? i've had mine for like 8-9 months and they have lost support i feel but the most i run is like 10-15 miles per week and isn't the mileage per pair of shoes supposed to be about 500? kind of wanna buy new ones as well
Yeah. I heard that a good rule-of-thumb is to replace them after about 300-400 miles so even at the minimum for you, 10 miles per week for 8 months will give you over 300 miles already! Go for it, especially if they don't feel as great as before :)
I'm definitely overdue...REALLY overdue. I've had my asics for a couple years.
heyyyy it's me formercookiemonster. i'm just gonna vent to you. i'm kinda bummed with myself lately because the scale hasn't been going in a downward motion(actually gained five pounds over the summer bc of my injury) and now i'm back at 100% and i've been working out and eating clean for the most part and i just really wanna lose this weight NOW and *sigh* impatience. lol
No worries! I totally get that there will be lots of days where you feel like you're going nowhere. The most important thing is to keep trying.
Also, the scale isn't always a good indicator of fat loss. You might be gaining muscle which is much denser than fat so although you may not be technically losing weight, your body will definitely show it by getting more toned. My sis has weighed the same for the past few months but we can definitely tell that she looks more lean.
From what you've said though, it sounds like you're on the right track regarding your physical efforts and dietary habits. What's probably going on is that your body might have gotten used to your workouts and you're experiencing the dreaded "plateau" period. To get out, try switching up your workout (whether it's running faster/on an incline or increasing reps/weights). If you're willing, try taking a break for a few consecutive days and then head back. Whenever I do that, I start feeling sore again. Stick to it though because I know you can do it! :)
