I decided to place the first lines of the song, since I felt just a line wouldn’t be enough.

You say good morning, and good evening.The day is done, and you’ve come to findThe words are fleeting, I hear your quiet breathingIs something wrong?

Was it restlessness or courtesy? It wasn’t normal of 9S, though, that was for sure. Throughout the day, his only words had been such greetings, things that didn’t really hold any meaning, he himself knew that. Those were his only words, meaningless, no basis… yet, the soft sighs he let out were different, though silent, they showed enough emotion to let Adam know the android wasn’t feeling well at all.

“9S…” with that paused tone, marking the number and letter clearly, as if they were almost separated, he voiced his concern, stepping closer to the android. “Is something wrong?”

Yes, Adam himself wasn’t being his usual. Normally, he’d be on the defensive/offensive with androids, but today wasn’t the same. Was he really feeling worried for the android? Well, that he wasn’t sure, but he needed to know what was going on.

He had wasted a whole day deciding whether to speak up about it. It wasn’t until he heard those breathings that he couldn’t stand not knowing anymore. So, sitting down, he glanced at the android, showing slight gentleness as the moonlight shone upon the two.

“Voice it out… 9S.”

          A little bit? Her arm was grazed with an arrow, leaving the flesh below the skin partially exposed. Blood leaked out from the wound in fresh streams, but compared to before, it was beginning to coagulate. However, it still wouldn’t stop on it’s own without a proper bandage. Despite being mounted on a horse for protection from infantry units, it left her somewhat vulnerable to stray arrows. She shifts her upper body in the chair the ivory haired boy set her in.

          She swallowed thickly, reconsidering her position as she was in no place to move with her light headedness.

                   「 Actually... Mm.. Can you bandage this? I can’t do it myself... 」

Today was supposed to be a splendid day. Adam had received great news. A human reading had appeared close by. He double checked and it should’ve been right. Should have.

Adam rushed with his brother to the location, there was no time to waste. What they found there... was definitely not something they were expecting. Adam quickly sighed and stared at the figure.

“.......” he remained quiet for some seconds, before speaking up to the android in front of him. “9S? You are the source of that human reading?” he finally said in disbelief and slight anger... or was it frustration?

“Does that mean you are human? Or are you the most human thing around this planet?” Eve, on the other hand, seemed to believe the machines and the readings. He expected the android to have the answers, since Adam directed the questions at him.

SHURIKENS.   Listen… Kagero is so strong and amazing and I love to roleplay as Retainers tbh? I’ve done Oboro and I almost did Hana awhile ago but I curbed my intentions by giving away a theme. I love roleplaying as retainers to lieges and the intense feelings of protection that they feel for them and its just a lot of fun for me tbh…. I love retainers, Athena…. I love Characters that have an intense need to protect someone or something… Like for Ivy it’s Liath, Cora it was herself…. and so on you get me.
