Since Isaac and Hank are born within weeks of each other (and with the same middle names too!!!!!!) are there any headcanons for that friendship?

YES! 

derek calls them “the spencer boys”

they are basically brothers from the get-go. isaac is an honorary morgan and hank is an honorary hotchner (i mean, basically everyone’s kids are indiscriminately everyone else’s kids anyway, but still)

hank really supports isaac in social pursuits as a kid and as a teenager. he’s kind of like isaac’s rock in crowd/group situations with their peers

mom, savannah, derek, and aaron talked about the middle name and basically, they just shrugged and had a “porque no los dos” moment

spencer cried

but what can we say? spencer is a special boy to both derek and hotch so it makes sense!!

they take pictures all together and the caption is always “spencer & i. spencer & h. spencer” or “spot the difference” 

mom and savannah are HOMIES and they spend much of their maternity leave time together before and after the boys are born

already on much better terms than a decade prior, aaron and derek enter into a new era of friendship and mutual respect

Oh my gosh for Hank and Becca who makes the first move? Is it more of a slow burn or do they communicate better than their parents (let’s be real here no one in the BAU started out great at expressing their feelings (and I say this with great affection)). And how do their parents react? I’m so exited for this ship Tali, you treat us too well

becks ALWAYS had a crush on hank (but then again, who didn’t?? he’s handsome, an athlete, flirty, and an absolute cuddlebug) and they’re about 6 years apart, so they come home every year for holidays as adults and have a fair few “ha ha wow that crush from childhood is still sticking around. weird”

the first “oh fuck maybe i dont just have a crush” moment comes when he’s teaching her to play pool in the hotchner garage and there’s something....charged about it. contact that was once really normal and comfortable when they were growing up feels really significant and their heart rates just SKYROCKET. 

they ignore that as best they can over that holiday (it’s chrismas 2041) and part ways - becca back to caltech in pasadena, ca and hank back to clerking at a law firm in chicago (he’s daddy’s boy and went to northwestern for undergrad and law school)

she comes to visit him over the next spring break and they 100% kiss (and probably do other stuff because that ~happens~ when you’re grownups u know) and go “oh FUCK our parents are gonna have a conniption fit” and then hank goes “wait maybe they won’t if we can distract them with alice and soph”

and becca’s like “oh you know about that, too?” 

“duh, dude she’s my sister.” 

“right”

“yeah, so babe, see we’ll be fine. maybe my dad’ll finally kill hotch and we won’t have to deal with it because he’ll be pretty exhausted after that ordeal” 

“my mom’s gonna lose her shit. like the volume in this bus is astronomical-level lose her shit.”

“remind me to...not be there when that happens.”

Sorry follow up- my headcannon for Hecca (or maybe Halvez, but Borgan also sounds hilarious) is that they start it kinda impulsively. Maybe Hank plans out this whole thing (but doesn’t tell his dad for the whole pressure of babygirl stuff (but he needn’t worry)) and Becca kisses him halfway through

hanks been doing his damndest to make shit happen for YEARS but just couldn’t do it. he’s got plans on plans and can’t execute them so it turns into lots of this: 

hank, age 24: what if she doesn’t actually like me, jack?? like what if it’s just like that childhood weird crush thing that leaves when you actually grow the fuck up like??? jack what do i do

jack, age 34, married: hank, man, don’t take this the wrong way but you’re an idiot. just kiss her or something i dunno. luke got penelope by worshipping at her feet for like...three years so you might want to step it up a little

and

hank, age 25, pacing: hotch she’s like....everything to me and i dont want to fuck it up like how do i not fuck it up

aaron, age 73, sipping his coffee: well first things first, don’t tell your dad. then don’t tell her dad. just tell her.

can not stop thinking abt spencer and his boys ™ going out sometimes bc they’re the same age ish and they’re vibin and go out for ice cream or something and they’re like what did you do and they’re like it’s spencer business we can’t tell u idk why this is sending me

Why can I imagine Hank Morgan getting into a fight with a kid who hit Isaac. Since Isaac doesn't really know what to do since he is more to himself and obviously not a fighter but Hank sticks up for him and gets into a fight. Obviously Derek and Savannah are mad but calm down a little seeing why he did it.

these boys get into all manner of tousles growing up, but elliot’s definitely the worst offender! 

michael also sticks up for isaac, and he’s scrappier than people give him credit for, just like his mama!

(i love the idea of hank sticking up for isaac, but i don't wanna contribute to any ‘black boys get into fights’ moments, so i added some of our boys to round some things out)

Hank Spencer Morgan definitely started walking first and when tiny Isaac just looked at him from where he was crawling, Hank held Isaac's hands and helped him to get up and take his first steps. Mom and Savannah start crying and Derek and Hotch look like the proud parents they are

he sure did!! they are my cute beanie boys and they absolutely helped each other with milestones. isaac was late for most of his, but he talked first. his babbling conversations with hank are the highlight of savannah’s evenings
