The traditional of Monterrey

Normally when you take a flight to Monterrey you think that you will arrive at a metropolitan place where traditions have been left behind, but this city has achieved a mixture of modernity and nature that is combined with tradition, so it is not surprising that be one of the cities with more tourism in Mexico.

The Fair of Villaseca

During the months of July and August the fair of Villaseca in Linares takes place, the whole city is filled with craft, industrial and commercial exhibitions, but what has given more recognition to this celebration are its famous charro parades, horseback riding, fights of rooster and horse races. Throughout the fair there are musical groups from the region and dance competitions are held, the queen of the fair is crowned and a recognition called "La Tambora de Villaseca" is given to people who have excelled in some activity in the city, is a celebration that recognizes the effort of their community to get ahead but above all it is a tradition that is maintained to feel proud of their land.

Machaca Fair

This fair is held in the town Cienaga of Flowers, the dish that is honored is a dry meat totally dehydrated, the indigenous people of this region carried with them rolls of this meat as a provision in their daily lives and in their trips, the idea of the fair is to know the ways of preparing beef or venison that dries in the sun, seasoned with tomato broth accompanied by scrambled eggs or only with spicy sauce and salt. This is more a celebration of the food that you can attend to get the best ideas of how to cook something Mexican in your home.

Agricultural and Livestock Agricultural Fair

In May, the Agricultural and Livestock Farming Fair is held in Monterrey, where agricultural products, handicrafts and excellent dishes from the region are sold, as well as a northern-style party where the majority of its inhabitants participate, they made charreadas and horse races with ranchers from various places in the country also rodeos, horseback riding, bullfights and cultural events of all kinds.
