Akemi found herself wandering the cobblestone path, a road that hadn’t seemed to be particularly well traveled by her peers. The sound of trickling water had a calming effect on her, which was nice because anxiety was eating at her. She was glad she left shoes at the front of the path- the cool feel of the stone was blissful. Of course, being on her own in part of the hotel gave her plenty to worry about; the chance for her to get murdered had skyrocketed by doing this. ‘I won’t have anxiety if I’m dead, at least.’
It was nearing the nighttime announcement, and dinner was sitting heavily in her stomach. The food here was so rich, it nearly made her sick. Actually, most food made her sick. After years and years of terrible eating habits, her digestive system had pretty much given up. Regardless, the lights were dimmed as time went on, so this walk was akin to taking a stroll beneath the stars.
She neared the end of the path, a place no one had bothered to investigate yet. There was a bench and then something metal covered in ivy a bit behind it. She tilted her head, clearly befuddled by the discovery, and took slow steps towards it, as if she were approaching a large, spooked animal. She was in awe of the few exposed spots of steel, the weight of the world bearing itself against her. She reached up to it, feeling the compulsion to touch the metal. “Is it… a door?” She felt a twinge of excitement, this was the first lead ever since they got here. But as she looked closer, she drew her hand back. “Leaves of three, let it be…. hairy rope don’t be a dope. Fuck! It’s poison ivy.”
La la land was very boring in my opinon but had some good songs (Quote is from Another Day of Sun, from the La la land soundtrack)
INVESTIGATION: Find the Exit!
After the group had been standing around and chatting idly for a while, Ishikawa weaved through the crowd to the fountain. She stepped up on the ledge in front of the lowest level, gaining enough height to at least see at eye level with some of the taller members of the group. "Hey! Um... so this situation may be kind of bad, but how do we know the bear is telling the truth?" She took a deep breath, internally beating her anxiety away with a broomstick. Show no weakness. "We should look around the building to see if we can find anything useful. Or if there is an exit at all." She tensed up a little. "Let's just split into groups and spread out. But there's no way I'm leading this or anything ever again." She threw that last bit in for good measure- come the next morning she wouldn't be able to do anything like this at all.
