Oslo, 2022
Christian Bonnesen (Sept. 30, 1870 - 1936) was a Danish landscape and cityscape painter. He trained both at the Royal Academy and Kunstnernes Frie Studieskoler with P.S. Krøyer and Laurits Tuxen.
He was too old-fashioned for the critics who found his choice of palette monotonous. He preferred painting at dusk or in the blue summer evening light, creating nostalgic mood pieces.
