hi i have Godzilla -1.0 headcanons for you abt Shikishima's family + the Shinseimaru crew
Noda, Akitsu, and Mizushima visit Shikishima and Noriko and Akiko basically every other day
i mean how could they not they killed a fucking kaiju together that's not the kind of shit that you go your separate ways after doing
Akiko being the sweet kid she is winds up giving them all names
Shikishima is unsurprisingly "Otou-san" (dad/father)
Akitsu gets "Oyaji/Tottsan" (old man/pops)
Mizushima gets "Oniisan" (older brother)
Noda gets "Baabaa" (shortening of Baachan, meaning grandmother) because for the longest time she thought he was an old lady
the first time Noda got grandma'd the entire crew + Noriko held in their laughter until Akiko went to bed and had to go outside to laugh so she wouldn't wake up
Noda just went with it. yeah sure he can be grandma.
when Akiko got older she asked Akitsu why him and Noda didn't have rings like all the other kids' grandparents
yeah turns out she assumed they were married
lo and behold like 3 days later Noda hands Akitsu a ring and just says "for Akiko's sake" and that's all it takes for him to put it on
he's also lowkey confused how it fits perfectly??? he doesn't even know what his ring size is how did Noda just guess????
when one of the kids at school starts being a jerk to Akiko she leaves her recorder behind on purpose so when Akitsu inevitably volunteers to bring it to the school all the other kids get a scare ("i thought her dad was that pilot guy! this guy's scary!")
she's a wicked clever kid. i mean she's got Noriko for a mom and Noda for a grandma ofc she's smart
