Chuuya Nakahara’s knowledge of school began at “place where kids go everyday” and ended at “is apparently a requirement in decent society”. In ramshackle tent town built on the lawless, bloody ruins of Suribachi, it was as far out from his bubble of awareness as the stars are to ants.
Then, well, once he’d left, moved up, it was a similar situation, only instead of being the ant he was the stars. There wasn’t time or need for upshooting mafia child to attend something as quaint as that, so many other more important things... Besides, you ever heard of a school that would accept a student like that?
So, naturally, he had no practical idea of what they did there. Was it fun? Was it hell? Was it easy to make friends? Were there bullies? What about the teachers?
...Will Kyouka be okay on her first day???
From what he could tell, she’d been kept isolated before joining the mafia and only went for a year or so when she was five, and then... Well, just like he’d experienced in the past, the transition between Port Mafia and normal childhood experiences was impossible.
And that’s why, dear readers, there’s a very scary looking man in long coat and hat, trying to look very very inconspicuous but shooting looks that scare off anyone who might dare approach him.
Oh. Did I forget to mention?
He’s also just, nonchalantly, skulking around... on the walls of Hyacinth Academy, treating the vertical structure like it was nothing more than a sidewalk.
