La ilaha illa Allah
Al-'Allamah Al-Faqih Muhammad bin Salih al-'Uthaymin [d.1421 AH] (رَحِمَهُ الله) said:
"I urge my muslim brothers to seize this tremendous opportunity, and I remind them to perform righteous deeds in the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah auch as:
Recitation of the Qur'an, remembrances of all kinds; from takbeer [saying 'Allahu Akbar'] and tahleel [saying 'La ilaha illa Allah'], tahmeed [saying 'Alhamdulillah'], tasbeeh [saying 'Subhan Allah'],
giving in sadaqah, siyam, and striving to performing every righteous deed in them."

Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymin (رَحِمَهُ الله) said:
"Raising the hands -for the congregants- in supplication while the Imam supplicates on Friday is an innovation, except in the case of supplicating for rain (Istisqa), in which the Imam and the congregation raise their hands."
