i've been trying to upload the images for azul's birthday layout, and tumblr genuinely will not let me add any images to posts. i get an error no matter the size, transparency, file type, etc. it will not let me do anything.

however

i anticipated this. everyone go to @glitchedout for new posts. right now, it just has reblogs of my psd downloads, but i am working on the necessary navigation posts.

the current plan is for the first official new post to be azul's birthday layout.

i've been trying to space out posts as i make things, but this past week i was stuck at home with covid, and i somehow made 20 different posts for obey me alone. which is really making me wonder if i should just make an obey me-specific blog at this point.

alright, we're gonna do something fun to send off magicpaint.

i've put a lot of thought into whether or not i want to change my url, but ultimately, it hasn't felt like me since i came back. i think we need a fresh start.

here's the plan:

i will give everyone through the weekend to guess why i've chosen the url i'm switching to. first one to guess correctly will be given the first request post-url change. i will contact you afterward via ask box to let you know, meaning if your ask box is closed, i will move on to someone else.

all guesses must be sent through the ask box.

the url i'll be switching to is blastcycle. (the english name for the magical wheel in twst)

well. after fighting with tumblr for actual months to make anything functional, i finally got a new blog up and running. (though i'm still unable to upload photos here, hence the move)

head on over to @dawnarmor for new things periodically.

there will be no daily queue, no requests (at least, for the time being. i'm testing the waters,) and no dedicated postong schedule. another big difference will be post variety. sometimes it will be layouts, sometimes it will be dividers. sometimes it will be fandom-specific, sometimes it will have no fandom attachment.

i'm really hoping this works. i cannot always change the wifi, computer, browser, and make a new account when tumblr decides it's done with me.

i will not be active here anymore. go to the new blog for new posts.

thus far, we still have power. the roads and parking lot are never cleared around my apartment, so we're all stuck inside for the time being.

that being said, i'm going to open requests now with the hope that we don't get a second (worse) round of heavy snow.

be aware, the earliest requests will go up is tuesday, not tomorrow. the internet is still impacted and runs a lot slower than usual. i will not be able to finish requests as quickly as i normally do.

as a reminder, i always queue new posts on magicam-monsters to archive them.

with how unstable tumblr has been for me lately, i want to make sure everyone is aware of my archival side blog in the event a post seemingly vanishes from here. as far as i am aware, that hasn't happened yet, but that is a known issue with tumblr.

last call for requests. they will be closed this week while i help a family friend move.

in an effort to make tumblr function properly, i have switched the scheduled psd posts to regular queued posts and set the queue to once per day. every other day will be a psd post.

i have no idea if this will work, but having roughly 30 scheduled posts could be what's making tumblr run so poorly for me. i've had a lot of trouble with the queue in the past.

i cannot reliably fill requests until this issue is solved. sometimes it takes days to make one layout post and put it in the queue. sometimes tumblr refuses an image altogether, no matter the size, and i have to give up on that particular post.

we'll see how this goes. my posts will noticeably lessen (from three posts per day to one) but if it solves the issue, it will be better in the long run.

i will leave the queue section of the request rules and guidelines as-is for the time being.
