✨Alarica✨
Yiska you said you answered my ask about stress at work but it didn't have a tag so I can't find it. Can you try again and give me some tips to reduce stress at work? This time tag it Alarica
Hey there, Alarica.
Sorry you can't find your ask, so I'll answer it again.
Yiska's 17 ways to reduce stress at work.
1. Take a few minutes in the morning before work to relax. Sit or lie down by yourself and gaze out the window and listen to the sounds of nature, or take a slow, quiet walk.2. While driving, become aware of your body tension (hands wrapped tightly around the steering wheel, shoulders raised, stomach tight, etc.) Consciously work at releasing it, dissolving that tension.3. Decide not to play the radio. Be alone with yourself.4. Pay attention to your breathing, or the sky, the trees, etc., when stopped at a red light.5. After arriving at work, take a moment to orient yourself for your day ahead.6. While working, monitor bodily sensations and tension levels, and consciously attempt to relax and let go of excess tension.7. Use your breaks to truly relax.rather than simply "pause." For example, instead of having coffee or a cigarette, take a 2-5 minute walk, or sit down somewhere and recoup.8. Try changing the environment where you eat lunch.9. If you eat lunch in an office, close the door and take time for you.10. Decide to "stop" for 1-3 minutes every hour during the work day. Become aware of your breathing and bodily sensations. Use it as a time to regroup and recoup.11. Use everyday cues in your environment as reminders to center yourself. (Like the telephone ringing, for example.)12. Take as small amount of time at lunch or breaks to talk with close associates. Choose topics unrelated to work.13. Choose to work one or two lunches a week in silence. Use it as time to eat slowly and be with yourself.14. At the end of the day, retrace your activities, acknowledging and congratulating yourself for what you've accomplished.15. Pay attention to the walk to your car. Notice the feelings in your body, try to accept them rather than resisting them. Listen to the sounds around you.16. When you pull up to your house, take a minute to come back to the present. Orient yourself for being with your family or household members.17. Change out of your work clothes as soon as you get home. It helps you to make a smoother transition into your next "role." Say hello to everyone who's home; center yourself. Make time to take 5-10 minutes to be quiet and still.
Hope this helps you, Lovely.

"Oh how lovely, another vampire." Alarica growled and her eyes narrowed ever so slightly. She tilted her head to the side and watched the man. "Who are you, and what do you want?"
