i was watching ep 6 today and paying close attention to dundy specifically during carnivale, for fun, to see if i could spot him, and i discovered that
a) he’s There a lot more than i thought, he’s consistently in the shot especially once the fire breaks out, and often just sort of lurking vaguely near fitzjames like ok gayboy
b) i’m pretty sure he’s the one that directs everyone towards the kitchen! bc prior to that you can see him next to crozier, and then he ducks away in that direction, and someone shouts out about the kitchen. i don’t know his voice well enough to place it but he seems the most likely candidate all things considered
also he throws his crown into the fire before leading people towards the kitchen and i’m too tired to identify the symbolism there but it feels like the sort of thing i could dig my teeth into and overanalyze lol
