In Britain and Ireland, there is a tradition that women may propose marriage to men either in leap years or on leap day itself; for comic purposes, it was sometimes expanded to a general reversal of gender roles (such as in the illustrations above). But if you ask me, these are unironically Boss Ass Bitches (and tbh the men are serving too).
