Yes bi Buck was meant to happen in s4 but it was CLEARLY BuckAlbert.

They were living together in what is basically a one room apartment with one bed. Chim tried to involve Albert in the unveiling of Buck's tragic backstory. Buck was unreasonably mad at Albert about the Veronica thing and no one, not even the viewers, could really understand it. If you compare that storyline with Buck, Bothered and Bewildered you will notice the obvious parallels to Veronica being an Eddie-esque red herring.

And don't even get me started on the Buckley-Han Dinner With The Parents.

Imagine how great it would've been. The two Buckleys with their Han men. The Buckley-Han family of five.

But then the fox execs decided to choose hate and said no so the writers had to let it go and make them say they were like brothers or something and that's how we got BuckTaylor end of s4 bc they'd run out of fresh options and she was around.

albertbuck keeps me up at night with the possibilities of it all. they were roommaters, they were friends, they dated the same woman, they were trapped together during the pandemic, albert is chimney's little brother. it could have been a friends-with-benefits situation where they accidentally catch feelings or a secret relationship they have to hide because they're afraid of how chimney would react or because they're both closeted. they could have given each other bro jobs bc they're "straight allies" and offhandedly mentioned it to eddie who's like uhh what no that's not a thing. the possibilities are endless.

Obviously I do understand that Buddie has been a fandom juggernaut for many years now, but guys Albert Han is right there I don't get it.

They live together in a one bedroom apartment! Quarantine parallels of both Hans rooming with a Buckley, but it being the wrong one! Angst potential of Buck searching for him after the car accident, screaming his name!

Think about how much it would annoy Chimney, if nothing else.

“I have feelings for Albert.” He blurts out.

“Albert? Chimney’s Albert? Who is currently at your loft?”

“Yeah.”

Eddie sits down and settles in for a long morning.

Buck explains how he had always liked Albert , enjoyed living with him, etc. Then he gets to recounting the story of the disaster with Veronica and how he responded. Even remembering She broke up with Albert cuz of Buck.

Eddie connects the dots “Oh my God. It is like the basketball game. Buck please stop playing mind games and ask men out normally.”

S4 canon divergence where Taylor directly asks Buck if he likes Albert after that disastrous double date.

And Buck is like, frowning and so confused, asking her “What?” like he can't believe she would ask something like that.

But then you see how it starts to dawn on his face and slowly there's an “Oh” to his expression. And he almost trips down to the floor because oh no he's into him, oh my god he's into him.

And now Buck doesn't know what the fuck he will do because he can't kick him out but now he can't stop thinking about what it would be like to kiss Albert.
