wip game:

slug

even more shockingly, there is exactly one instance of the word slug in solstice!

slug:

It took just over an hour for them to find everything they needed from Albus’s shopping list, and another half hour to pick everything they wanted for themselves from Honeydukes (‘Your teeth will fall out, Scorpius!’ - ‘I don’t care, I want this many jelly slugs!’).

Literally cannot wait for solstice!!! The concept is simply dreamy, I can’t wait to properly immerse myself with your scorbus and meet your OC’s!!! Pls tell us more about the OC’s xox

anything for you grandaughter!

there are several OCs who are really central to the plot of solstice and they are:

oswald finch: a red-haired, chaotically dressed counsellor at hogwarts who befriends the boys once they leave school. he has a Big Research Project that he dedicates a lot of time to and he wants to change the world while also tending to his large collection of plants.

rafe and stella: these two come as a pair! they don't go to hogwarts but they meet one of the boys after their seventh year and hmm. introduce him to some new experiences, shall we say. they both have somewhat turbulent backstories which become apparent over time!

marion and sadie: also come as a pair since they are inseparable besties despite their age difference. marion made friends with scorpius during a group project in history of magic and sadie is in the same year as lily potter. they are like if a golden retriever (marion) adopted a bat (sadie) as her friend and never let go.

there are various others who come and go across the years but these are the core OC cast!

turkey

okay i don't have anything for turkey (yet), but have some chicken instead:

‘Excuse me?’ came a voice from further along the table, when Albus was already on his third mouthful of fried chicken. He swallowed, and turned. The speaker was a girl he didn’t recognise. She was tall, with long braided hair and an inquisitive expression. ‘Are you Albus Potter?’

wip game: snowman, sledge, christmas, flake

thank you for the lovely words! i don't have anything for sledge, but here are the others:

snowman:

Now that it was O.W.L year, he was keen to make the best possible impression with his teachers and he’d been using the extra time at school to write up detailed notes ready for efficient revision later in the year, but not without his fair share of distraction from Albus, who was more eager to build snowmen and play games of gobstones than spend time on schoolwork.

christmas:

Last year, Lucius had asked - right in the middle of Christmas dinner - why Scorpius hadn’t yet found himself ‘a young lady of respectable heritage’.

flake:

The entirety of their school years seemed to have melted away as quickly as the snowflakes that were now turning to shivering drops of water on Albus’s skin.
