Your Ravenwolf posts are some of the best things I've seen on this site in a long time. Thank you for making my day. I needed a good laugh.
It has yet to be made, actually. Because it’s time to get back to it. Day 2 of ravenwhy begins now.

I have a bit of a scholarly question. I always read posts about Christian witchcraft as referring to one's relationship with God. I was curious though if Christ plays a major role for you in your craft as I don't see him mentioned. Maybe it's because I'm skimming and am missing it. If I did miss it, how is your relationship with God and the craft different than it is with Jesus, if it is at all?
For Christians who believe in the Trinity, God is one person with three parts. From my understanding, this is similar to the Wiccan view of the Goddess (Maiden, Mother, Crone), though not wholly the same. The idea is, one person, three different aspects. For the remainder of this article, God will refer to all three in one and I will attempt to be consistent in referring to all other aspects with their specific names.
There is God the Father. Christians believe He played a predominant role in Israel’s history. God the Father was the driving force behind creation. He designed all of creation. Most of the Israelites’ interactions were with God the Father, or so I think. God the Father was in Heaven during Jesus’ life on Earth. In pop culture, God the Father is often portrayed as the old man who is constantly angry (which is not how my interactions with Him go at all. If anything He has been more of the logical side, like a loving Father giving good advice, but that is just my interactions.)
Next is Jesus, or God the Son. In the first chapter of John, John refers to Jesus as having been with God the Father from the beginning as the Word. Now, since God spoke everything into existence, the Word (Jesus) played a very important part in Creation. In essence, He was the communication and organization of Creating, the act directed. Later, he came to Earth, taught the people about God and His will through his words and deeds, and then was unjustly sentenced to death, only to rise from the dead. His death also put to death the sins of everyone who recognizes the act of love he did for us, and willingly offer up our sins. We must choose to hand over our sins for them to be washed clean. It is our choice whether we keep them or not. But, in order for them to have died with Jesus, we must believe that his death was able to accomplish that. When our sins (and our sinful natures, which is a part of ourselves) die with Christ, we then share in his resurrection as well and are given a new life. For me, Christ is so loving, and his sacrifice often brings me to tears. My interactions with him are ones of comforting.
The last aspect often talked about is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit descended on all of Jesus’ followers in a palpable way after his ascension back into Heaven. During the creation, the Spirit is the wind over the waters and the breath of God. As humans, we need breath for form any sound, and since God the Son used words to communicate the creation, the Spirit was literally the act of forming the words, and thus the act of creation. The Spirit was in every aspect of creation. This is what Christian witches believe gives materials their correspondences and magickal properties. With the Israelites, I believe she showed herself to the prophets and other spiritual leaders, though she was inside every living being as the spark of life. She is emotion and will, and translates our words in prayer into the Heavenly languages so that they reflect our pure, individual emotions and wills. This makes prayer act more as a pouring out of our hearts so that there is nothing lost in our communication with the other aspects of God. For me she is connection and vulnerability with God. She is now a part of me and she is the part that came from God and will go back to God. Sometimes I can see her around other people, especially when we come together to worship. She becomes so visible because she is translating that worship.
Notably, different churches and traditions have different views of the trinity and if it is valid. The theology behind it was formulated in the 2nd and 3rd century, so at the beginning of Christianity. Some churches in the modern day reject this theology for various reasons, and if you ask a different Christian they may give you a wholly different answer.
When I speak about my relationship with God in posts, I often speak of all three. This is especially true when I write my meditations because I like to leave it open for my readers to work on their relationship with whatever aspects of God they need to. When doing spellwork, I work with all three, and don’t keep one out. This is because they were all there in creation, and so should have an important role in all of my spells.
P.S.: This is a grade A question that made me very happy to wake up this morning.
alderwolfe replied to your post: Okay, so remember how last week I pose...
I want to charm a decent amount of my pendants for various purposes like protection, confidence, etc. Just a fancy set of of them so that I can grab what I need and am always prepared.
That’s a really good idea and I may also do this.
The witch drama is not about gifs, but is more so about an user cursing witches through physical gifts. There was an example about glamouring graphics that people took way out of control. It started as a psa about being careful who you trust, using your gut instinct, and upping protections because the curses were just recently privately confirmed. Then people were reblogging and context was lost, thus mass hysteria. Then people tried to guess and missed major context clues about who it was.
Yeah, I saw something about gifs and images and got confused.
I really don’t get how/why people started to freak out over this. It seems extremely silly

Ah! I created it - a forum to have our discussions. It’s so rudimentary, so please don’t taunt me (too much) about the simplicity of it .
I’m really excited that this is actually starting to come together. Anyone is welcomed and encouraged to join!

SaD2: Spread 19 for BlackWellBrew
Sadly, someone else messaged just before you for #19, but because you're so polite I'm more than happy to do it twice.
Theme: Queen of Swords
The queen of swords is a loyal, witty, intelligent woman, She's not afraid to make tough decisions. She let's her head lead the way before her emotions. This reading is going to be about seeking the truth and using it to your advantage, and not letting emotional noise get in the way.
Spiritual Area: 6 of Pentacles
Right now your in a cycle of balance, your getting exactly back what you put in. If you're feeling a little low on the faith and spirituality, it's time to do some soul searching and be willing to give more of yourself / your time over to it.
If you feel that you are happy where you at, just keep doing what you're doing. The energy and flow here is in harmony, so nothing is going to change unless you do.
Physical Area: Aces of Wands
Something in your work/school/family is bursting with new creative energy right now. But the trouble with energy is that sometimes if we let the emotions and heart run ahead of the brain and situations can get wildly out of control before we known it and then you're overwhelmed. That fun thrilling ride can become one that is crazy and bumpy and you just can't wait to get off. So going back to the queen, be sure to weigh you options and harness this energy to your best advantage.
Advice for Spiritual: VII The Chariot
Remember to be strong in your faith/convictions, least of all do not forget them. Really push forward and not let anything especially trivial things drag you down. You need to keep control of the situation because you're driving towards a place of positive energy and triumph in your physical life so you need to remain on top of your emotions. The more chaos and emotion you allow in, the more chaos and crazy emotions are going be going on around you / coming back at you.
Advice for Physical: 6 of Wands
Now this card actually JUMPED out of my shuffle and landed right into the spread. The positive energy here is crazy high!
You're well on your way to getting whatever you've been working for, but remember that confidence can lead to pride, and laziness to failure. Only you know your worth and know your situation best, so be sure to keep honest with yourself and the situation. Keeping in check as you pass the milestones on they way to the ultimate goal will only make victory that much easier and sweeter.
Don't forget to celebrate though, what's the fun in working hard and achieving goals if you don't enjoy it and gloat just a little bit!

I hope this helps and that you have a lovely day!
