Alec Leffroy – In Memoriam
Marlow teased her dad. After all he won a game of horseshoes despite being the clumsiest one of the family.
Alec thought perhaps next time the young apprentice could show ‘em all how it’s really done.
Sizzle, sizzle, pop, crack, WHOOSH.
HELP!!!
“Don’t stay up too much later, my love.”
“I won’t. I’ll be up there before you miss me. I promise.”
“Okay. No watching scary movies though.”
Alec lightly kissed Eden’s forehead. “Don’t worry. I won’t. That fire was enough to keep this old heart going. Goodnight, my darling.”
After the frightening fire, everyone retreated to the comfort of home. Alec and Eden decided to de-stress with a movie.
“Do you remember when we first met?”
“Well...yes, but I prefer not to. I was so embarrassed someone saw me like that.”
“Pretty sure my terrible joke was more embarrassing. But even so, that was the best night of my life. I couldn’t imagine spending all these years with anyone else.”
“Neither could I.”
This man and his cheesy jokes...Marlow just didn’t know how to react to why toilet paper didn’t cross the road.
