You Are What You Love | Alegrew
Cyprien had slept on the couch that night, which was his own fault entirely. Not like he was in trouble by any means. Although every other thing in his life relationship-wise had been backwards and a disappointment to his parents, he could at least manage not to see his love before the wedding. All superstitious nonsense, of course, and one his father would probably have disapproved of anyways... Like that was the only thing that would be disapproved of. It was sad, but still fortunate, that his parents had passed away. He did miss his mom, at least...
He groaned and stretched, feeling as though he hadn't slept at all. He hadn't, really. This would be one hell of a day, one of the most important days in his whole life. The day everything was perfect. Because honestly it didn't really even matter how terribly things went, it would still be perfect, and he was still thrilled. He, Cyprien, would be taking him, Peter, as his lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, etcetera, etcetera. He smiled at the thought, sitting up slowly and waving his wand to turn off the quiet alarm he'd set. Cyprien had been hoping to make it to the shower before disturbing Peter, wanting to make sure his soon-husband (what a thought!) had all the room and space and time he needed. Although there probably wasn't too much prep, honestly, not like hair and makeup and dress and all. It was just a suit probably...
Whatever. He made his way upstairs to use the guest bathroom, but was sidetracked by the sleeping Emily. Cyprien smiled and went into her room, leaning over the crib to look. In a few hours, there would be no contesting his relationship with her, and no doubting the legitimacy of his love and care for her. It would be really real, and, as though the gift of Peter's love wasn't enough, that was really all that he needed for this to truly be the perfect day. He stroked the back of her hand very gently, smile spreading to a beam. He'd have Peter, and Emily, and his happily ever after.
But first, two showers, two suits, two rings, and two promises, so there could be three officially and legally bound lives. About time to get started.
