Sonarian Games: Aholai vs Aleicuda:
Who’s better?
Aholai 🍎
Aleicuda 🐟
Aholai
the aholai is a tier 3 photovore with a deadly poison, looking a bit like a mixture between a deer and a apple. it uses it’s apple-slice like frills to soak up the sun. it takes 26 minutes to fully grow. it is a gentle creature. the aholai has only a couple traits:
1 necro poison, which when bitten inverts the color vision of the attacker. if this stacks it will inflict confusion, tunnel vision, and bleed, in that order.
10% bleed defense, a small portion of bleed inflicted will be nullified, which may be useful against some enemies.
the aholai is notable for it’s diet, as a photovore it only needs to drink water and may create infinite food sources for herbivore packmates. however, being a older creature, one of the first added in the game, the aholai has significantly less impressive stats then a few fellow necro poison creatures. it is also frail enough to be one-shot by certain creatures, such as hygos or polymonstrum. due to a glitch, if a defensive-status inflicting creature is one shot, it will not inflict it’s status onto the attacker.
Aleicuda
the aleicuda is a tier 4 aquatic carnivore that takes 30min to fully grow. it is a agile, flying-fish like creature that jumps out of the water to catch flying creatures or enemies from below, and has a fast metabolism. it has a fair good amount of abilities:
3 bleed, which when inflicted causes regeneration on the opponent to stop, and slowly tick away health unless they heal off the status. with SiN, this can be amplified to 5.
20% bleed defense, which nullifies a portion of bleed. this can be useful in going against heavy bleeders such as magnarothus, where when usually a lethal bite would be inflicted it allows the aleicuda to survive such a bite.
Sand Breath, used by pressing the C button. it inflicts .25DPS, blurred vision, and tunnel vision on targets.
Strength in Numbers(SiN), where, with each adult aleicuda in your pack, your weight, bleed, health, and appetite are increased. this stacks up to 4 times.
the aleicuda has a fairly great attack, with alongside bleed and sand breath can make fighting it risky. as a aquatic, there’s a lower player density under water, so there’s hardly much a risk growing this. it’s fairly short growth for it’s tier gives it a notable advantage over enemies. it however has extremely low HP for aquatics, and it’s moderate weight can hinder it significantly in battle.
