I made some new friends a month ago, right? The very first time I voice chatted with them, one of them was able to tell me which province I'm from... so, yeah. It really be like that with Canadian accents sometimes lol

It always cheers me to an inexplicable degree when I hear Sid say certain words or raise his voice and he sounds exactly like some of the boys I went to high school with 😄 Or when I watch Stars mic’d up content and Rick Bowness on the bench sounds like every Maritimer grandpa yelling at the game on tv haha. But truly sometimes with players or personnel from central/western Canada I’ll hear them talk and be like “oh my god…. people actually sound like that… WILD”

Two things: 1. I want cabbage soup now because that looks delicious omg. 2. The tag you put on it made me think of a hockey player because I swear I've used the same tag (or something REALLY similar) to describe him. So, yeah. To the best of my knowledge, giving someone 'the gears' is just a shorthand way of saying you're gonna 'grind their gears'. Which means you're gonna make sure someone never hears the end of something because you're gonna keep teasing/annoying them about it, usually in good fun.

I hope any of that made sense. I'm not exactly the best at explaining things sometimes lmao
