The world wide web can be a daunting place to explore. With a plethora of sites that range from entertainment, information and of course, e-commerce, there are many pros and cons of living a life online. Thankfully, driven by a desire to provide extraordinary products and services to a worldwide audience, these ten female-conceptualized and operated sites have helped improve shopping selections to be found each and every time you log in.
These women-powered websites range from skin saving products, delicious desserts, stylish shoes, mouthwatering dishes, home accessories and closet-worthy clothing options. Most of them resorted to making their own products to serve their needs when they were not readily available in commercial establishments. They then turned to the web rather than traditional forms of retail in order to reach a wider if not product-specific and discerning group of consumers.
Several of our top 10 have found so much success online that they either have opened or are in the process of opening their own public spaces just to keep up with the demand for their goods. Their stories are as inspiring as their products are compelling buys. We invite you to get entangled in their delightful web and explore their virtual marketplace.

"Before dad passed away, he made me promise just 2 things:

This, I hold under my own life's key.
A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth. I may be here for a short while, gone tomorrow into oblivion or until the days come to take me away, but on my passing, I would like people to celebrate a woman of noble character, deep conviction, a remarkable career and a good legacy.
Whatever part I play, I want to be remembered as part of that legacy of sharing dreams and making a difference for the better. It's the legacy that never dies.
Why online? I am a "silent water," but perhaps one who stirs and waves when I let ideas flow. Being the shy type, I want the shoes to sell itself without the need for aggressive selling on my part. VIRTUAL MAE products are whimsical, fanciful and unpredictable.
And whoa!!! 700+ votes and 143 (I LOVE YOU) comments! This is a natural wonder, a paradox for a carefree feline as myself who used to have a minimal perspective, but is a BIG girl now in many ways, thanks to YOU.

Today, I am feather-light, and I am elated, euphoric, jubilant and grateful for the outpouring of LOVE and SUPPORT that you have shown...
For the 500+ legitimate votes from relatives, classmates, church-mates, friends and customers who I consider as friends....
For the 200+ "strange" votes from folks who may not have even heard of VIRTUAL MAE before, but chose to click LIKE nevertheless, though not out of duress or bribery (that Puss-In-Boots "pity" pic never fails...LOL!)...
For the instant "campaign managers" who voluntarily and incessantly racked in the votes in unfathomable proportions...
For the miniscule swing votes from those who are close friends of other nominees...
For the women and even men (gay or straight) who shamelessly professed their love for VIRTUAL MAE shoes... And I quote Jamie Wilson in saying that he "actually, and now no longer secretly scroll through" the VIRTUAL MAE pages and "drool over" the shoes...and he is "a straight guy."
