ok so holy shit

i only listened to this because patricia taxxon was talking about it and i trust her music taste.

i dont even know what you would call this genre. "misundestood stuttering sweet little creature ambient noise core". the entire run time felt like listening to a creature that kept trying to emerge, to come out, to SPEAK, but it kept getting pulled back, not letting it shout its little lungs out. there is some sort of deep beauty being held away. you can hear something so ethereal and beautiful wanting to explode but it just keeps being stopped and its a constant feeling of getting edged of a "beat drop".

its uncomfortable at times, especially the track "reasonsnotto", which has this indecipherable voice talking to you, which sounds familiar, but can't be understood. it almost sounds like russian to me lmao, as if you put a bunch of letters into a russian text-to-speech and put it through a vocoder. its uncanny, and made me uncomfortable.

but its so damn beautiful. little sounds of pottery, birds, wind, sighs - small, barely visible things that are put on spotlight. makes me very emotional.

to me, this album sounds like a creature (me) not being able to make sense of anything, not being able to get anything out coherently, but theres is a lingering beauty that can't be caught. and the last four tracks sound like the creature just sitting blissfully in a silent field, or in a small home, and feeling the tingle of small beauties in life, yet theyre so powerful.
