I had a wonderful race today at the Gone Riding SERC # 4 in Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, GA. This is one of my favorite MTB Trails and I was looking forward to racing here for several weeks now. This is the last race before USA Cycling MTB Marathon Nationals, so I knew that I had to make today my last very hard effort before I start tapering back. As usual, I got some strong women line up beside me in the Pro/Cat 1 start, and sure made me WORK. With yesterday's win in the Time Trial, I woke up today feeling very good about what I could accomplish so I put it all out there. 😅 My best got me a 2nd Place to the great Madison McDaniel, who continuously impresses me with her awesome skills. I tell you guys this from the bottom of my heart, Madison can handle a Mountain Bike better than any other woman I have ever seen riding. Riding behind her is truly an honor.
