Match TV introduced Alexei and his new partner today - Alina Ustimkina, who previously skated in juniors with Nikita Volodin. I am not sure whether their small height difference will be an issue in the long run, but I’m just glad that he found a talented partner & didn’t give up. The state of pairs right now, and Russian pairs in particular...well, I didn’t even feel like posting for ages, it’s so depressing. But I’m excited to see Alexei come back with literally anyone and I’m very curious to see Max as a coach. I guess it’s a transition period...anything is possible! /glass half full

This pair is skating to La La Land but their lack of passion to me makes it boring and sluggish. On the technical side, she fell on the first element, side by side jumps. Both stepped out the second side by side jumps. One of the throws also resulted in a fall. Not a pretty skate.
