One thing I'm confused about, Morell gave Stiles drugs to amp him up and keep him awake but we know canonically that Stiles has ADD. Surely the drugs would only slow him down then? (I say this as a person with limited knowledge of ADD)

It’s a good question to ask, especially considering how often in fic I’ve seen characters tell Stiles he’s not allowed to drink something caffeinated because he’ll “get worse” and I want to bang my head against a wall. I don’t claim to be an expert on ADD/ADHD. My brother has ADHD, but that’s not quite the same thing. It just means I’m more familiar with the affects than some people.

What it comes down to is the fact that amphetamines are not subscribed to people with ADD as a way to put them sleep, but instead to help them focus. It’s not intended to make them sleepy. It’s intended to make them sharp.

In fact, a lot of ADD medication actually has a side effect of causing insomnia in people taking it, most notably Adderall, which we all know is what Stiles has subscribed to him.

So no, the amphetamines wouldn’t, strictly speaking “slow Stiles down”. They would increase his focus, which could only possibly be a good thing when he’s fighting off possession. It would have been better if Morrell had given him Adderall specifically because at least then Stiles would know how much to take in order to stay awake since he’s already got a history of abusing his medication for intense research sessions, but I don’t know, maybe she doesn’t know what he’s subscribed normally.

Like I said though, I am not an expert on the subject. If any of my followers have a deeper understanding on the subject, feel free to write in about it! :)

my one caveat for the public proposal thing (because yeah they do seem pretty manipulative and gross a lot of the time) is cases in which the marriage has already been discussed and they're both in agreement about the marriage, but they decide to still have a proposal moment. E.g. in the case of my cousin where everyone knew her boyfriend was going to propose and that she would say yes, it was just a matter of when and where

yeah! like if youve discussed it and decided to stage an event for fun then cool go ahead have your fun but if you spring it like 'hey make this massive decision on the spot that affects your life/finances/living situation/legal stuff RIGHT NOW WITH PEOPLE WATCHING' then you need to not! and then you need to sit down and have a think about why you did that!

When I get really bad headaches/migraines/cramps and am moping around on the couch the cat tends to come and curl up next to me, even though it's something he never really does when I'm not in pain. Also when I go to the milk bar to buy milk/an ice cream he'll sometimes be standing outside waiting for me when I leave the store and then will trot beside me as I walk home.

your cat is really cool. when we walked over to your house to feed him when you were away he followed us back and just stayed at our house for like 2 days. dude's sense of direction is good and he's way too sociable

I’m envious of your glitter jars, how does one make a glitter jar? Is it just glitter and water? Because they look really cool and I want one :)

each of those was done a bit differently because i'm not 100% on a method yet, you can find guides by searching for like glitter jar, calm jar, mind jar etc

i did mine by putting hot water into jar, glitter glue, stirring and shaking to melt down the glitter glue and then filling it the rest of the way with water. i also used a bit of detergent which i think helped kill the bubbles caused by shaking, but that could be placebo detergent.

you're supposed to use some kind of thickener most of the time too, clear glue or corn syrup or somethin and i tried a little glue in my red one but i only had opaquey glue so it opaque'd it up a bit. however the red one does do nice swirls and make forms/patterns, whereas the glueless blue one is less patterny

it looks extra good if you can get different sizes of glitter, so my red one has glitter glue as well as micropearl paint pigment stuff, you could also use plain glitter and sequiny type stuff, w/e
