1: If you were a TV producer and you had to choose 5 band members to live together for a reality show, who would you choose?
I would love to the the personality clash between Marina + The Diamonds, Bruno Mars, Patrick Carney, and Alex Turner. Then to balance it out I feel the chill of Nick O'Malley or maybe Jamie Cook would be needed.
2: If you had to get lyrics tattooed on your body, which lyrics would they be?
"Beyond all ideas of right and wrong there is a field,
I will be meeting you there." Human Sadness by Julian Casablancas + the Voidz or All of Anaconda tattooed across my ass
3: Older music or newer music?
I don't care. Any music is good music, as long as it's good music.
4: What would you do if you worked at a restaurant and your favorite band showed up?
I would probably treat them like a regular customer for the duration of the meal. Maybe afterwards chat them up if I'm not bothering them.
5: Have you ever written a letter or given a gift to a band member?
No. I've been tempted to though.
6: What 3 songs make you ridiculously happy?
Agree with lebeloiseau on Uptown funk by Bruno Mars, Finger Back by Vampire Weekend, and Father Electricity by Julian Casablancas + the Voidz
7: If you were in a band, what instrument would you play?
Do lead vocal count? (What can I say, I'man attention whore.) Ejther that or bass.
8: Favorite band member of all time?
9: Have you ever gotten a tweet from your favourite band?
I'm not popular or witty enough for that.
10: How do you feel about mosh pits?
11: Have you met your favourite band yet?
I HAD TO LEAVE BEFORE I COULD MEET JULIAN WHEN HE CAME TO THE 9:30 CLUB AND AS I GOT IN THE CAR I SAW BEARDO RUN OUT AND MAYBE JULES CAME AFTER BUT MY PARENTS TOLD ME A HAD TO BE HOME BEFORE MIDNIGHT AND it's sort of a touchy topic.
12: Name three bands you can’t stand other than Blood On the Dancefloor or Brokencyde
13: Did you go through an embarrassing scene or emo phase?
Naw. But I did go through a weeaboo phase. Please don't ever talk to 7th grade me okay.
14: How do you feel about bands that never change their sound?
I think it's strange for artist to not change their sound at all. As human beings we all change and mature, and art in it's many mediums is a reflection of humanity. So when people don't experiment in their art it tells me that maybe they're not being as much of an artist as they could be.
15: How do you feel about bands who have gone in a completely different direction with their sound?
Maybe I won't like they're new sound, or maybe I will. But as an artist they have my respect and understanding that there are reasons as to why they've changed. (As long as it is done in means that retain they're artistry.) But not many bands I am aware completely change.
16: have you ever had a bad concert experience?
I loved the concert and the music itself, but the guy I went with was a complete and utter asshat.
17: Mark Hoppus or Pete Wentz?
18: How many songs do you have on your ipod/phone/whatever right now?
19: What was the first song from your favorite band that you’ve ever heard?
When the Sun Goes Down- Arctic Monkeys, a friend got me into them.
Baba O"Riley- The Who, one of my dad's favorite bands. One of mine as well.
20: Have you ever been stereotyped because of the type of music you listen to?
I bite people who try that shit on me.
21: Have you ever lost respect for a band member/band for something they said or did?
That asshole from the 1975. Yeah that'll do.
22: Would you rather be a roadie or a band member?
Band member. I enjoy performing.
23: Have you ever listened to a few seconds of a song and just thought “fuck no.” and turned it off?
24: Are you good at songwriting?
I write poetry. If I tried and had a little musical help I think I could.
Bass, it's the kind of sound you can feel course through you. It can shake you. I love the deepness that you can feel in your heart. Definitely bass.
