“You look nice tonight Alice.”
“I’m not listening to your shit anymore Melvin.”
“Please Allie can not fight for one day? I thought we agreed we weren’t going to tell everyone about our divorce until after the holidays? Please don’t make a scene.”
“OK fine.”
It's only taken me five years but I finally recreated Tyler's high school friends in TS4 ✨
They weren't wrong. I wasn't upset, even though it only added fuel for Alice's jokes. She was teasing me as we went out, only to admit that she saw it coming. She was so amused. I replied with a reference to the musical, and she added another one, and before we knew it, we started pretending we were the main characters.
"Just kidding. Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll sound much more appealing to me."
Bianca laughed. "Really? Come on. You have no memory of the one time you've slept with a girl - if you've even really slept with her, you know. Alcohol makes you feel so sick it's crazy. And you think the other drugs are evil. We can agree on that. Rock'n'roll, maybe, but the rest...eh, sorry to break this to you, brother, but you're far away from that."
Tyler rolled his eyes. "You're just saying that to make me look stupid in front of your friends."
"You are stupid," Alice said.
"Look, she talks! Did you trade me for my sister?"
"Jesus fucking Christ," I sighed. "Four missed calls from my father."
"Did something happen?"
"Nothing that I know of," I said. "I better call him back. He's angry...sometimes. Often, actually."
Speak of the devil: My dad's sister, aunt Lucille, opened the door.
"Good morning," I greeted her. "We're supposed to meet up with Dana, if that's-"
"Oh, yeah. Hey Bianca. Yeah, she said something like that. She'll be here in a minute." Lucille finished her sentence with a yawn. "Sorry. Couldn't sleep again. Gotta love insomnia."
"I'll tell dad. I'm sure he can help you."
"Definitely, one time he gave me this potion...these pills, sorry, I don't know what I'm saying...anyway, yeah, they worked like a potion," she smiled. "Magic."
"My dad is a pharmacist," I turned to my friends. It was a lie. Again, not sure how they would react if they knew that my dad, in fact, is not a pharmacist, but an alchemist. It's almost the same thing. Girls however didn't seem to catch anything.
"Tell Sebastian I say hi. He should come visit me again, it's been a while since I've last seen my little brother.” It was kind of cute that she still called my dad little brother, even though they were both adults. “Anyway, I'm going back to bed. Oh, Dana's here! Cool. See you soon, girls."
"Alice? Are you alright?"
"Do I look alright, Bianca?" Out of all people, his sister just walked in with that new girl I'd noticed earlier in Maths. Great.
"Not at all. You look super mad," she said. "What has Tyler done this time?"
She knew it. She could easily realize what's going on. I looked at both girls. The new one nodded, encouraging me to start talking. "You guys...I'm so stupid."
