acid is fractals, patterns in your eyelids, watching walls bubble and melt and small aliens crawl from your aircon duct
it's watching trees morph into fetuses, feeling your body dissipate and move only as a floating head. it's closing your eyes for a second and opening to see that the sun has risen
understanding everything, solving every complex, contradicting issue that is the human condition, figuring yourself out and then extending as far as the world- and forgetting it in an instant. loops, and things relooped.
it is understanding yourself- the essence of what it means to be you, for all the good and bad that you are, and shaping you more into the person you are meant to become.
acid is feeling music in your body, hearing the earth's song caterwauling in your veins and the strong magnetic pull of the planet's core in the dirt beneath your dancing feet, experiencing colours words have no names adequate enough to describe- like rainbows projectile vomited.
and if you're like me, acid is staring at the glint set off by a sequin on a sleeping girl's top for forty-eight minutes and seeing in that glimmer of light a little busy city of cars and roads and buildings and little people going about their little lives, only to have it shatter when the person next to you breathes too loudly
