Alice Gerard. Independent journalist and peace activist who was convicted of trespass after protesting against the School of the Americas in Ft Benning, Georgia. She was subsequently released and re-arrested two additional times after refusing to back down and continually returning to the site to protest. A real hero in our time. We are featuring both Alice Gerard and Alice Gerrard (bluegrass singer), if anyone has clarity regarding which one Le Tigre is referencing please let us know!
