Alice & Mac
Back when he was alive, Mac wouldn't have given second thought to dares. It was childish, for one thing, and another - he rarely ever did anything spontaneous.
Alice probably picked up on that. She knew exactly where to push to get him to agree to it - tap into his newfound desire to do more, to branch out, to explore and adventure. Maybe he hadn't expected that to come in the form of lake jumping, but he figured it was all a journey, one step at a time. He had to start somewhere.
He tossed his shirt away from him, letting the lump of fabric settle wherever it landed. He moved fast enough to save himself from embarrassment. Jeans came next, and the rest of his clothes until he was blushing in boxers, shaking his head the whole way over to the small platform of dock extending out into the water.
"If I die -" Leaving it there, he took another heavy breath, gearing himself up for the idiotic stunt. The most he could do was hope Alice actually would be following him in - he'd promised not to abandon her, but she had not extended the same courtesy to him - before hurtling forward.
