teenage kicks | starlin & alison
The prospect of going to the carnival was something that Starlin had been looking forward since she first found out that there was going to be a carnival on the Waxler grounds. She had been hoping that she could drag Ryan along to it to spend the day with her, even though he would probably be spending the day with Colton or however much time he could manage to spend with the boy. Finlay had also been an option, but Starlin knew that he wouldn't enjoy spending time with her at the carnival when he could spend time in his room getting stoned instead. It made her worry about him, how he seemed to be high more often than not, but Starlin didn't have time to think about her brother right now when she was getting ready for a possible date (was it a date?) with Alison. She fumbled a little bit with the dress that she had tugged on, surprised in her choice to wear a dress let alone one that was short and flowery and completely girly in every way, but Starlin didn't spend time worrying about that either because she had to make her way down to the dorm building to wait for Alison. She pulled on her favourite pair of boots and slipped on a jacket before she tucked her keys and phone into her pocket. Starlin stopped in the doorway and she thought for a moment before she pulled her phone out and sent a text to Finlay, biting down on her lip as she let him know she was going to the carnival and that she'd like to see him if he was felt like showing up to the carnival at all. She frowned a little bit as she sent the text, hoping that she would eventually see her brother at the carnival, even if it meant accidentally bumping into him, before she tucked her hair behind her ear and ran down the stairs to go and meet Alison outside of the dorm building. Starlin could practically feel the excitement building up inside of her, especially since she got the 'anonymous' Valentine's Day card that could surely be from no one else other than the girl. Hopefully, just hopefully, this would be more than just spending some time with a friend, but Starlin wasn't going to push her luck, so she leaned back against the brick of the building and waited for the girl, trying not to get her hopes up just yet.
