under a readmore bc it’s just me being entertained/exasperated/baffled by extremely specific personal shit
my mom and sister always post shit on social media for the anniversary of my brother’s death which is...whatever. BUT (a) this year my mom posted the blurriest goddamn photo that’s so freaking pixelated you can’t even make out his face
(b) their pastor (who never met my brother) commented on what a lovely photo it was
and
(c) our great aunt (who’s notorious for batshit facebook comments) commented basically “he loved god so you’ll see him again” which
c1. my brother was not religious and definitely didn’t love God And Jesus™
c2. he was a twenty-year-old kid when he died, do you really think an omnipotent, benevolent deity was going to be like “no you didn’t go to church enough?”
c3. does this mean we’re just supposed to like...eagerly await dying to see him again???
c4. if there is a God and, per c2., they won’t admit non-believers into heaven, does this mean that my mom is just going to get up there and be like “welp it’s a very small family reunion after all” since, in addition to c1., no one else in my immediate family is religious????

this post is just such a hot mess and i’m over here like “welp. at least he’d get a laugh out of it” and also burying my face in my hands
