You're graduating this weekend. Last year around this time I made plans to attend your commencement and show support but I don't think that would be welcomed. I hope you're well. You worked so hard for this. Now, you'll finally have a bit of that time you've been wishing for.

I just read that The Get Down returns on April 7
I still can't bring myself to watch it. I watched the first season at the end of the summer and I was a wreck. There's also some heartrending grief and confusion still attached to the series for when and where I watched it. My chest hurts when I even see pictures or clips from it. I really want to support this series because of my love for hip-hop and seeing such a beautiful story being told, but it's got so much weight on it.
