Innocence's Apartment
Decay Rate At 13%
"Come on.. its only been one night.. god dammit." Innocence sat alone in his penthouse apartment, located in Tokyo, Japan. He lived here most of his life so he tried not to stay long around such familiar settings. Now though he was stuck, he couldn't visit Meredith because she had become.. not human.
He had been God, but even that much power wasn't enough to keep the world safe. He didn't show it, but he carried much more than just the weight of the world on his shoulders. From the day he became a Soul hes hated every moment of it, constantly wishing to be human. As Innocence it was his job to protect the world from it's threats, but he relied on the Innocence of people to give him strength. Without Innocence in the world, without purity, he'd fall so weak that he'd go comatose.
So much greed and destruction has torn the Soul apart inside, because he knows hes failing. He sticks to Meredith like glue because she seems like the only human left on the planet not swayed by greed, lust or power. Now she was gone and the only pure people he knew now were Angels, the species that tried to exterminate his own.
Innocence himself wasn't pure, all the blood he had shed and times he had sinned, even though Genocide removed them, they still lingered in his thoughts. So he tried to keep near those who tried to be happy even with no reason to.
But now as he stared out his window, into the empty night sky that just made his empty apartment even emptier. He knew, he was really alone this time, and no matter how many happy faces he tried to spread, he could never spread it to himself.
In one night his time-traveling body had jumped it's decay rate by over 10%, and the more catalysts he used the faster he got close to dying. Everyday more and more Innocent people are corrupted to being greedy and destructive to themselves, and everyday he grows weaker. Without the same surplus he used to have, eventually his decay would send him into a coma, and then it would kill him, brutally and slowly, waking him from the coma just to feel the pain. If the monster that Meredith had become truly begun the end of the world, then he hoped it would reach him during his coma. For in the fight to stop it even if he had the strength to fight, he would die, Innocence had no escape.
No Hope.
