A coffee from the little hatch in the junk shop !

Oh how I’ve been yearning to go to this little coffee shop for a while. Monocle, a great magazine, also provides top notch quality products in their coffee shop, based just off of Baker Street (London). I’ve been seeing this café featured not only in various other blogs, but also all over Instagram with everyone raving over the place.

This isn’t my full-scale review of the place, as I did not bring my camera along me; and these photos did not do any justice to the loveliness of the place. I wasn’t able to enjoy the loveliness of the place, however, as there was no seating available so I had to begrudgingly sit outside. If any of you know what London is like in the winter then I hope you did a little inwards shiver with me. [disclaimer: it wasn’t actually that bad, but that doesn’t make for very good reading…]

I’ve recently started a ‘keto’ diet, and therefore have been staying away from ‘high carbs’ and dairy to a large extent, thus was not able to sample a lot off of the menu. Monocle does supply soy milk as a dairy alternative, but that doesn’t agree with me. Instead, I opted for a (fresh!) ginger and mint tea, which was sublime.

Although the customer service wasn’t all that too great (no one cracked a smile, ever), since I’ve only visited once I can’t really base my opinion on that. All in all, it was nice to get out and appreciate some other surroundings, especially in regards to visiting a hideaway coffee shop I’d been dying to go to for a particular long time. I think I’ll just have to go on more of an ‘off-peak’ time…!

Kiyosumi Shirakawa-來自紐西蘭AllPress 各國咖啡聚集清澄白河

週間的清澄白河真的是一個很好逛的地方  悠閒舒適…只是太陽如果小一點就更好了

說道清澄白河   大部分人想到的就是來自美國的Blue Bottle吧…從此以後清澄白河成了咖啡愛好者必訪的區域

Kiyosumi Shirakawa-Blue Bottle清澄白河一號店 太平洋彼岸來的咖啡旋風 咖啡界蘋果 藍瓶就是經典

在Arise Coffee Roster喝完了一杯手沖之外也該吃飯了

可惜的是在Arise旁邊的Fukidosa星期二休息…不然這在舊倉庫開的店也是很有味道的

來到了不遠處的Allpress 看起來也是老房子所改裝的啊…其實感覺也有點像是倉庫耶…

不過整個外觀看起來新的多  也有點像是為了咖啡館新蓋的挑高建築啊

這樣的風格跟附近的建築放在一起不會突兀  而且這有種那種美式的倉庫設計感   很漂亮

查了查才知道原來這咖啡館是紐西蘭來的啊…日本好像是很多歐美的咖啡館進軍亞洲…
