I came across this funny deck today: the Rebel Deck. Branded as a “tarot” deck, it’s actually more of an oracle deck that is two sided, so that’s unique!

Here’s a quick description from the website:

BRACE YOURSELF.

REBEL DECK messages are QUICK, DIRTY and DIRECT. We gave the ancient practice of Tarot a modern make-over and added a little insult to insight.

This deck is rebellious, foul-mouthed and raw. No interpretation needed.

Definitely a different take on “tarot,” check it out if it’s up your alley!

Got my Lisa Frank tarot cards today, and I love them SO MUCH!

Working on some ideas for my own oracle deck! These are just some random prototypes to test out the form and aesthetic and kinda the general idea but I’m liking it so far! it’s hard to see at a small size but the backgrounds are watercolour paintings :) And the images are actually going to be geometric drawings I create, a little more involved than these, but this was just a test to see if it looked ok overall.

This could potentially be a huge project, but I’m interested in giving it a go. If even I only print out the cards for myself in the end, that would still be pretty cool! I’ve actually tried out makeplayingcards.com by getting some Lisa Frank Tarot Cards printed (they are on their way!) so we’ll see how that works out and if it’s a good option for printing my deck once it’s complete... that’s a long way off though.

I’ll post about it here though as it progresses!

The Luminous Spirit Tarot is so pretty! I love the simple, minimalist designs, and the pearl backs of the cards, it’s all just so beautifully clean and perfect! Definitely a unique deck that’s on my list.
