Long time follower and new teacher here. What is your favorite thing about teaching? What is that one irreplaceable feeling or expression that makes all the long days and troubled nights worth it? Happy New Year, PPT!

My favorite part of teaching is seeing my students learn to think for themselves, stand up for others, and show empathy. Those moments make me a proud momma bear. The irreplaceable feeling is that there's never a day that I leave my classroom without having laughed hard at least once or when I didn't feel the love in our classroom family. Pre-kers need a lot of love and attention, but they also give it willingly. Happy New Year!

Mah boo allysowned gave me more questions and I can't resist them! No, tags and new q's this time because I'm a rebel, Dottie.

1. What TV show could you marathon and never get sick of?

This is so hard. I honestly feel like the answer to this in a year or two will be Graceland. Most people who know me would think I’d say Supernatural, but there’s two whole seasons of rage involved with that. My forever after answer is Buffy the Vampire Slayer because reasons. 2. Favorite book and why. Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Prachett. It’s a laugh out loud until you cry funny comedy about the apocalypse. It’s so good tv shows still borrow plotlines (and characters, Supernatural) from it. 3. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? “Guilt is a fleeting emotion." That doesn’t mean to be a merciless bitch in this world. It just means life is short, do some shit, don’t look back. 4. If you could do one thing differently in your life, what would it be and why? I’d be a singer instead of a writer. 5. What do you want to hear God say when you get to heaven? Good job, rock star. OR I have a few notes on your portrayal of my character in your books, but other than that, well played, my child. 6. What is your least favorite chore? I hate them all in general, but cleaning out the fridge is probably what I hate more than everything. 7. Who was your favorite teacher and why? Carolyn DuVal, my 7th and 8th grade honors English teacher. She was and is and always will be an inspiration in my life. She gave me my foundation as a writer. Still encourages me to this day now that I’m 30. She taught me that perseverance is the key. I can’t save enough kind things about this beautiful woman whom I love and idolize so much. 8. What would you say to yourself at 15? It’s going to be okay. Stop eating your feelings because losing weight is a bitch. You’ll meet a boy named Dirk next year, go with it. Backstreet Boys? Not a phase. Adam? Stop thinking about it and just do it! He likes you too! Ryan?Don't waste your time. Trust your first instincts about Nicole. Don’t listen to your parents, go to the college you WANT to go to. Move to New York when the chance comes up. 9. What’s one topic of conversation you don’t like to come up? OMG politics with strangers. I don’t care what your position is even if you agree with me. Shut up with all that. 10. How would you spend your perfect day? Wake up early, drink coffee wrapped in a comfy blankey, write for a few hours, hang out with friends, eat ice cream at some point, drink a little tequila at some point, fall asleep in a big squishy bed. 11. If you could change your first and/or last name, what would it be? I'm super fond of both my first and last names. I would probably change my first name to Ericalynn or Erilyn (which is what my family calls me anyway lol) if I changed anything.
