CLINIQUE'S ALMOST LIPSTICK IN BLACK HONEY
"It's the Holy Grail of lipstick," they said. "Black Honey is flattering on everyone," they said. They lied. Soz. I have it and it just looks muddy. This is a super sheer lipstick, which is fine--no issues there--and the finish is smooth enough but the color is just so NOT GOOD on my pale skin. It's not really berry, it's not really brown. It's somewhere in between and it washes me right the hell out. The thing that's funny here is that I wear A LOT of dark lipstick. On looks alone, this should be right in my wheelhouse buuuut it's not. I feel like such a curmudgeon when it comes to Clinique. I know others sing its praises but I am having a super hard time loving this line and it makes me feel like I'm missing the boat. WHAT DO Y'ALL KNOW THAT I DO NOT? WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? $15

It's supposed to get here tomorrow, and I'm SO EXCITED!
At first I was a little intimidated by how dark it looks in the tube, but after looking into it, I'm glad I decided to go for it.
