Alisha
for alisha (who, coincidentally, has the same name as my mama!!)…
bare feet of a woman
strikes the earth
like a drum,
lulling but strong.
the music of her humming
is a wooden, years-old flute
and when she plays it,
the sound sends
an ache that travels down
the vertebrae,
whittling away at ivory bones.
the sharp edge of her toothy smile
a chisel
that carves away
tendons and flesh.
i am dissolved
by the acid of her disapproval,
but it is the love
that twinkles in the bright irises
of her eyes
that beg my stripped and naked heart
to beat
thx for following, girly!!! i really hope u enjoyed this :)
