Being a personal assistant for idol group NextGen was, in many ways, a dream come true. But being an omega on top of that turned the dream into a nightmare. During your interview process you clicked instantly with Denki, pack alpha and group leader. By the end of the day you found yourself sitting in the dorms meeting everyone.
It was safe to say once you stepped through that door there was no leaving, your fate was sealed and you were happy for it to be.
Five years had passed, and after long schedules, you often found yourself staying in the dorms more than being in your own apartment, being near Kirishima as much as you could. There was an unspoken bond between you two. No one spoke about it or addressed it but NextGen and management knew you and Kirishima were bonded.
The car ride home was tense. Kirishima’s alpha took over completely, a growl escaping at every small irritation, every small movement. His hand gripping your thigh tightly. Bakugou sat beside you, his touch gentle as he checked you, while Denki barked orders through his phone, furious and threatening. Your hands on your neck, scratching at your scent glands.
You tried to recall the day in your mind, searching for the moment you went wrong and caused this. Between reality show filming, photoshoots, youtube interviews, the groups’ schedule had been relentless. You stood in the control room, watching NextGen alpha interviews wanting to be near Kirishima. It was at that moment, Denki was replying to a question, that’s when you noticed him, a member of the camera crew standing too close for your liking.
“Can I help you?” you asked.
“You can,” He replied, his voice dipping low. “How about a sweet omega like you come with me.” His voice shifted towards the end, trying to use his alpha command on you.
“Excuse me!” You spoke louder, willing yourself to not be affected.
He smirked at your strength and came closer, scenting you, pressing himself against your back.
“Come on, sweet little thing like you, would love to be with a strong alpha like me.” He spoke again, his lips brushed against your neck.
You begin to feel sick, your omega violently rejecting him. His scent clinged to your skin, dirty, disgusting, wrong, suffocating. Whimpering you try to pull yourself away, “Don’t move pretty.” He commands you again, you're frozen and tear stinging your eyes.
Then everything shifted. The alphas of NextGen stiffened, eyes snapping to you as the scent of a terrified omega fills the room. Kirishima was already on his feet, moving faster than everyone’s reaction. Bakugou emerged from the greenroom, where he had been with the other omegas and betas; it was where you should have been. He froze for a moment before sprinting to you.
Kirishima yanked you hard, tossing you into Bakugou’s arms before lunging at the stranger. Denki, Shinso and Midoriya charged forward aiding Kirishima as their instincts took over, ready to protect you, pack.
You weren’t sure what happened after the chaos. One moment you had been in the control room, the next Bakugou was guiding you towards the other omegas. Adrenaline coursed through your body, your omega screamed for Kirishima
It wasn’t until Kirishima’s hand brushed your thigh that you realized you were in the car. You flinched instinctively, your omega trying to protect you still. As the vehicle came to a quiet stop, Denki knelt in front of you, eyes filled with anger and concern. Your hands moved to your neck again, trying to scrub away his scent.
“I’m so sorry, omega.” He said, voice low so as to not frighten you. “He is never going to get near you. No one comes near my pack like that.”
Letting out a shaky laugh, attempting to lighten the tension and shift the focus off you, you place a hand on Denki’s cheek. “I’ve made such a mess, haven’t I?” Glancing at Bakugou and Kirishima, their protectiveness started to soften slightly.
“No, Omega,” Bakugou said firmly, his hand squeezing yours. “You did not cause any of this, what matters is you are safe and with us.”
Kirishima added, pulling you into his side. His voice was quiet but steady, “We’ve got you, you’re safe.” The warmth of his alpha presence washes over you, overwhelming your omega. Your vision blurred. A quiet sob left your lips.
Bakugou wants to pull you close to him but he knows better. Denki taps his knee and the pair leave the car. Kirishima holds you tight, his alpha purring to you trying to ease your mind and for the first time since the incident, you breathe.
The dorm was quieter than normal when you and Kirishima entered, Denki had cleared the space, no staff or outsiders, just pack. All of which had vacated the main living room, they were close by if needed but not so far that your omega would search for them. Kirishima did not let go of you once, afraid that you might disappear from him. Bakugou stayed close, his presence was steady as his omega had one clear instinct, soothe and protect.
Denki guided you towards the couch, “Sit.” His anger had dulled, replaced with pack leader energy.
You sank into the cushions, your hands at your neck again trying to scrub away the previous alpha. Bakugou stood behind you wrapping a blanket around your shoulders. Bakugou took your hands from your neck, stopping you from hurting your glands, and rubbed his own on your neck. Your omega calming with the safe smell of another omega, pack omega. You suddenly became aware how exhausted you were, your body and mind felt heavy. “I should probably get home.” You spoke.
The three pack members froze, “Out of the question, you are here tonight, tomorrow, the day after…” Bakugou spoke, his voice trailing off as he left for the kitchen. You looked up at Denki, who was sitting beside you, he only nodded, telling you that it was already decided.
Kirishima crouched in front of you, his hand hovered over your knee, you could see the struggle on his face as he was trying to figure out if he was allowed to touch you. You took his hand and placed it on your knee. His red eyes scanned your face and he stared into your eyes.
“You okay omega?” He asked softly.
“I…” Your voice caught in your throat. Words failed you and you shocked your head no, tears slowly filling your eyes. You started to bite your lip and looked up to the ceiling. The question broke something in you. Everything hit at once, the events of the day started to weigh heavy on you.
Bakugou re-entered the room and clicked his tongue softly, taking the seat beside you. He held out a hot cup of tea towards you. “Drink, it’ll help.” He muttered.
He sat closely to you, his hand resting on your shoulder and his thumb rubbing gently on your gland. “You don’t have to be okay right now, but you need to talk to us, when you are ready.” You looked at him and nodded, leaning towards him and resting on his shoulder, as a thank you.
Kirishima thumb brushed over your knee as you drank your tea, the hot liquid soothing your omega inside. “He didn’t hurt you did he?” The alpha questioned.
Taking a deep breath you look at him, “No…. well, not really, not physically but..” bringing your hand to your chest you began to rub it, like you were trying to help your omega. Kirishima’s jaw tightened, he stood up quickly, a growl rumbling from his chest.
Denki noticed instantly, “Calm.” He ordered.
“I am being Calm.” Kirishima shot back at his pack alpha. His voice strained.
You started to reach from him without thinking, Kirishima leaned to you immediately and pulled you up to him. Bakugou taking the cup from your hands. Kirishima picked you up, wrapping your legs around his waist. His forehead pressing against yours and you breathed in each other. His alpha let out a shaky breath. His alpha had been so angry and protective all evening folded and now seeked reassurance.
“I should’ve been there,” he whispered.
“You came, that’s what mattered Alpha.” You whisper back, kissing his nose softly. Kirishima turned with you in his arms and walked to his room. You needed rest and his alpha needed you in his den.
Denki watched the pair leave the room and looked at Bakugou, “Well, this changes things.”
Bakugou looked at the pack alpha, “What do you mean, we all know they are bonded?” He questioned.
“No more distance I mean, she needs to be here, here with pack officially.”
Bakugou nodded, "Should've been like that from the start.”
You wake earlier than usual, you spent most of the night just staring at the ceiling in Kirishima arms. You were tired but a normal level of tiredness you would feel working the long schedules with NextGen.
There was a shift across the dorms, you were now pack. Denki told the rest of the pack when you were brought to bed. Everyone was happy, it was how it was supposed to be.
You looked at Kirishima sleeping beside you and listened to the stillness, the calm. Using this moment you checked in with your omega, she feels calm, not restless or overwhelmed right now.
You slipped out of the bed carefully, Kirishima in his sleep tried to follow you but stopped when he shifted onto his front. Pulling on a dressing gown you made your way down the hall. The floor cool beneath your feet, The distant sound of chatter pulled you towards the kitchen. Lights on, kettle boiling, someone moving around, whispering. Midoriya stood at the counter, sleeves rolled up as he cut and prepared food. Todoroki sits near him at the table, a cup of coffee in his hands, his eyes half closed.
Standing for a moment you take a deep breath and enter the room. Neither of them were startled when you joined them, because they already knew you were standing in the hallway before entering.
“Morning,” Midoriya said with a grin across his face. “Good Morning.” Todoroki nodded. Your omega warmed at how normal and natural this feels. “Morning,” You replied. Midoriya gestured towards the table, “Take a seat, breakfast is incoming.”
You look at him for a moment. “I can help…” You try to say but are cut off by Midoriya. “You can, but I don’t want you to.” He smiles. Todoroki adds, “It’s your first official day as pack, let us spoil you, yeah?”
You smile and nod at the fellow omega. “You’re calmer.” He speaks again as your take the seat beside him. “I think I am.” You reply and look outside the window. Silence settles over you all, not awkward but comfortable.
The sound of heavy footsteps, bound down the hallway. You look up and see Kirishima, his hair messy, his shirt half on and immediately stills when he makes eye contact with you. Relief flashes across his face and is replaced with a huge smile.
“You’re up early.” He says, his voice rough with sleep still. You hum, “So are you.”
Kirishima steps into the kitchen, and comes straight to you. His hand finds your shoulder, rubbing it gently before he sits on the chair next to you. He is fully turned to you and brings his forehead to yours and breathes you in. “Morning.” He whispers, you chuckle back at him. “Morning.”
Midoriya places a plate of food in front of you, Kirishima reaches to steal something off your plate but Midoriya smacks his hand away and points to the kitchen. Kirishima shakes his head and stands kissing your forehead and leaves to find food.
The room feels warmer, another set of footsteps enter the hall and into the kitchen. Denki with Jirou right behind him. “Why is everyone awake so early?” He muttered, rubbing his eyes and he looks out at everyone.
He sees you, sitting at the table. His shoulders dropped a fraction. Jirou moves past him, her hand brushing his shoulder. “Morning newbie.” He says more awake, a smile breaking out across his face. “You beat us.” Jirou adds.
“Morning Cap'n" You reply and shake your head. Denki makes his way across the room, his hand on your shoulder as he passes, it was brief but intentional. Jirou sat across from you, her chin resting on his hand. “You look better.”
“I do?” You question.
“Yeah, much calmer.” She smiles and looks at Denki. “Good,” he mutters. Kirishima joined your side again, tucking into his plate of food. Another set of footsteps entered the hall, Bakugou.
Midoriya had noticed before anyone else and had already grabbed another plate. Bakguou stood at the door, his eyes immediately locking onto you.
“Move,” he mutters, nudging Kirishimas. The alpha stood taking his plate with him. Bakugou sat down instantly and pulled you to him. Tucking you into his neck, you breathed him in and he began to scent you. This was normal for you two, and when he pulls away he holds your chin and looks into your face to see if there is any level of unease. He nods, happy with himself as Midroiya hands him a plate of food, their fingers brushing one another.
The room slowly fills with more of the pack. Sero and Mina bring the sounds of laughter and teasing. Shinso appeared last, silent as always. Voices overlapped one another, plates and cutlery clinked softly. Denki’s eyes glancing your way, Bakugou shouting across at the other members, Todoroki talking about the day's schedule. Kirishima stood behind you, his hand grounding you.
You sit there surrounded by love, by pack.
It had been three days. Three days since the incident. Three days since Kirishima smiled properly. Your omega picked up on it first, it was subtle at first. He was more alert, he held you tighter when a non pack member came near you. He had moments of silence where normally it would be filled with his beautiful laugh.
The gym smelled wrong from the moment you stepped inside. Too heavy, too sharp, an alpha in distress. A loud crack echoed across the room, a punching bag swung violently as the chains rattled while Kirishima drove his fists into it again, again and again.
“Eijirou..”
“Don’t” He barked across the room, it came out sharp and angry. It was not directed at you but it still made your omega flinch, Kirishima had noticed.
His back was still to you, his breath heavy as his shoulders tensed. His fist clenched tight, he knuckles raw and starts to split.
“I should’ve been there.” He growled.
You chest tightened, your omega whimpered as the distress you were causing the alpha still. “You wer..”
“NOT FAST ENOUGH.” He shouted, followed by one final punch. The chain snapped, the bag crashing to the floor. Silence followed, he took a deep breath and slowly turned to you. You eyes locked onto his, you omega whimpering again unsure what to do, to fix it.
You stepped closer, Kirishima held out his hand, stopping you.
“Eijirou.”
“I let it happen,” His voice low, almost a whisper.
“You didn’t.” You answer instantly. Kirishima shook his head, dragging his hand through his hair before resting it on his hip.
“I did.” His eyes flickered from your eyes to your neck. You hadn't realised your fingers were there again, scratching lightly at your glands. Bakugou had been keeping an eye on you. Scenting you which helped a lot. Guilt filled his eyes and he looked away.
“I am supposed to protect you,” He said, voice cracking. “Thats my job, it’s what I am supposed to do.”
Your omega whimpered again and took another step closer to him, “You are not just..”
“I failed you.” Kirishima dropped his head. His alpha whimpered at his admittance to you. The room is filled with sadness, guilt, anger, pressure, stress. None of which was directed at you but all of it crushing him.
“Eiji.” You whisper. His eyes snapped to yours the moment you step forward.
“You shouldn’t.” Tears started to fill the alpha’s eyes. “I’m not scared of you, not now, not ever.”
The words stopped him, he let out a shaky breath. You reached for him by placing a hand on his chest. His heart was racing under your touch. “I’m here, with you.”
“You shouldn’t be, I’m not good.” he whispered, “Not when I’m like this, I’m not….”
“Then come back to me.” You whisper back to you, you reach to him and place a gentle kiss to his nose. You both stood in the silence, then his shoulders dropped, his breath hitched.
Your omega pushed forward, a quiet purr slipping free, soft and soothing reaching for him. “You didn’t fail me, you saved me Eiji.” That broke him, a sob tore through his chest as he pulled you into his arms, wrapping himself around you tightly. “I was too late.” He muttered into your neck, kissing it softly at your injury.
“You came for me, that’s what matters.”
You both stood there, not saying anything, just holding each other. Every second putting Kirishima back together.
The door opened behind you. You didn’t turn but you felt them, Bakugou and Denki stepped in but stopped when they saw the two of you. Being pack leaders they knew something was going on with the red headed alpha but when they saw him, they saw the way you held him together. They knew they did not need to worry anymore.
“He’s finally calming down,” Denki said quietly as the pair backed out of the room. Bakugou crossed his arms, “Yeah, shitty hair’s blaming himself again.”
Kirishima pulled back just enough to look at you, his hands coming up to cup your face. You smiled softly. The alpha returned the smile, a purr rumbling his chest. You omega answered instantly.
“Hi Alpha.” You whispered.
“Hello omega,” He replied, bringing his lips to yours.
The dorm was quiet today. NextGen had a few days off given to them by management to allow the pack to settle with a newest official member. It was quiet, too quiet.
Your omega was unsettled, you did not realise what you were doing at first as you stood in the bathroom, staring at your reflection. Your reflection catches you off guard, your eyes drop to your neck. Taking a step closer you look at your neck, there's nothing there anymore. All healed, no marks or bruises, but you can still feel it. You lift your hand, bringing it to your neck. Fingers pressing into skin. Your omega snaps beneath the surface. Wrong. Dirty.
The words slam into you, your omega whimpering taking your breath away. You scrub at your skin, hard, harder than what you mean too. Your nails start to break the skin, harsh against your glands.
“I said don’t move.” he growls.
You choke on the memory, panic flooding your system. Your omega panicking, instincts trying to take over, you are frantic, clean it. Get it off. Make it stop….
Get it off,
Get it off,
Get it off,
Get it off,
Get it off,
Your breathing became uneven, tears poured down your face. Your hands wouldn’t stop.
“Hey….y/n..” Bakugou pushed the door open. In the next second he was there grabbing your wrists, pulling your hands from your neck.
“Stop ‘mega.”
You shake your head, trying to get your hands free. “I can’t, I can’t…” You repeat over and over again, thrashing in his arms to get free. Bakugou can sense your panic, “You can.” He says louder, trying to get you to look at him and breathe in his pheromones.
“It’s still there, I can still feel him.” You sob, voice breaking. Your omega reacts badly and out of control, trying to get at your neck. Bakugou tightens his grip on you, he dragged you down with him to the floor, using his legs to pin you in place.
You rip a hand free, nails dragging against your skin breaking the surface. Bakugou swears, grabbing your arm again, you're not responding to him. His omega is distressed but he pushes it down. You're not here really, he needs to pull you back.
“Oi..” He raises his voice. “Look at me.” Your breathing it too fast, your vision blurry with tears, your omega spiraling. “It won’t come off.” You choke out, trying to catch your breath but you can’t.
Bakugou can see the panic, feel how frightened you are. He realised there is nothing he can do, you won’t respond to his omega. He can’t pull you out of it. “Shit…” He mutters to himself.
You can’t breath, you gasp in his arms still struggling against his grip. You’re screaming in his arms, “GET IT OFF…” Your voice cracking in desperation. Bakugou falters, his heart breaking.
There's movement in the hallway, Bakugou looks up and Midoriya appears. He takes one look at you, at Bakugou. He goes to take a step into the room to help,
“Kats…”
Bakugou does not let him finish, “Get Kirishima, Denki, NOW.” He barks at his alpha. Midoriya moves instantly, sensing the panic in his omega’s voice. Bakugou turns back to you after he watches the alpha sprint down the hallway. Frustration floods his systems, not at you, never at you but himself. “Oi, stay with me.” He mutters, trying again, still gripping your wrists to stop them from going to your neck. You’re shaking hard in his arms, muttering the same sentences over again.
Heavy footsteps thunder down the hall, Kirishima doesn’t stop in the doorway. He enters and crosses the room in seconds. “Hey, hey, y/n.” His voice is rough and calming, his alpha surging at the sight of you. Your omega reacts instantly. You lunge for him, Bakugou lets your wrists go.
Kirishima catches you immediately, wrapping his arms around you pulling you tight. You bury yourself in his shirt, your breathing still uneven, hands twitching like they don’t know what to do, to stay on Kirishima or go for your neck. The panic over the room shifts.
“It won’t go away, I can’t get him off.” You choke into his chest. “I know” He whispers back, his hand at the back of your head, rubbing it softly. You flinch in his arms as you have just sensed Denki standing at the door. Denki steps in, “Easy guys, It’s okay Bakugou I got this, you did good.” He holds out his hand to the other blonde, helping him to his feet.
“She wouldn’t stop.” He mutters, Denki places a hand on his shoulder, “I know.” Bakugou takes a step out the room towards Midoriya.
Kirishima holds you tight against him. His heart racing, Denki notices immediately. He needs to soothe the alpha and help him bring your back. “Eijirou.” Denki speaks, crouching down to his level.
Kirishima stiffens slightly. “I’ve got her.” He speaks quickly.
“I know you do.” He replies calmly. “So breathe.”
Kirishima looks at Denki, and exhales, his breathing uneven. Your omega notices something is wrong, your grip tightening again and your breathing spiking. Denki shakes his head. “Not like that.”
“I’m trying,” Kirishima’s jaw tightens. “Match her breathing, not your panic” Kirishima takes pause, looking at the other alpha. He nods slightly towards you. Kirishima eyes drop to yours, he looks at your breathing and can see you are trying your hardest. He starts to adjust his.
A slower inhale, a slower exhale. At first your omega hesitates but then follows. Your grip on his shirt loosens. “That’s it.” Denki encourages. Kirishima does not respond as he is too focused on you. His hands find a way to your neck, you flinch faintly. Kirishima pulls his hand away immediately. Denki watches closely. “Let her feel you.” He says quietly.
His hand rests on your shoulder, the other around your waist. You are curled on his lap, head tucked into his chest. He waits for you. Your omega shifts then settles, breathing beginning to return to a normal level.
“That’s it, she’s coming back.” Denki smiles, putting his hand on Kirishima’s shoulder. Kirishima nods. “I’ve got you, now and always.” He murmurs, placing a kiss on your head. “I’m right here,”
Your hands stop shaking, your shoulders drop, the tension starts to leave you. Kirishima feels it and relief hits him hard. His grip tightens over slightly on you. “Easy, alpha.” Denki warns, Kirishima relaxes and releases a breath forcing his alpha to let ease up.
Shifting in his arms, you tilt your head back to look at him. Your body is tired, “I’m okay.” You whisper. He shakes his head at you. “You don’t have to be.” You nod at the alpha and tuck yourself back into his neck. Denki watches the two of you and finally relaxes. He senses the room, “She’s stable, take her back to you den okay.” Denki says and he gets up to leave.
Denki looks over his shoulder one last time as he enters the hall. You are safe with Kirishima, no longer a danger to yourself, he knows the alpha will look after you tonight. Denki runs a hand through his hair. The tight feeling in his chest started to ease up. He knows he doesn’t have to walk far. Jirou is exactly where he expects her to be.
Leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. “Well?” She questions. Denki takes a deep exhale. “She’s okay, for now.” Jirou nods at his answer, looking the alpha in the eye. “You’re not.”
Denki huffs quietly, rolling his eyes. “I’m fine.”
Jirou raises an eyebrow at him, not impressed. “Denks.” She says softly, reaching for him. That’s all it takes, Denki drops his shoulders. “They're both a mess.” he admits quietly.
Jirou takes his hand in hers, “And you?” She asks, Denki does not reply for a moment. “I’ll be fine.”
Jirou tries to push him for a longer answer but he doesn’t say anymore. “You don’t have to hold it all in by yourself.”
Denki lets out a breath, “I had to keep him steady, if he lost it, then she would spiral again.” He admits. Jirou pulls the alpha to her, he responds and wraps his arms around her. “You did good.”
Denki pulls back to look at her face, there's no hesitation in her voice. He rubs his hands down her arms, lacing his fingers loosely in hers. His alpha preens at her comments, Denki smiles. She brings one of his hands to chest, to feel her heart beat and breath, both steady, both calm.
“You always know what to do.” He brings a head down and places a kiss on the top of her head.
Bakugou watches quietly as Denki and Jirou walk hand in hand down the hallway. Midoriya is leaning on the doorframe watching his omega, he’s too quiet for his liking. The soft whispers of Kirishima and y/n, cause Bakugou’s head to turn towards the now closed door.
Bakugou doesn’t move, he is just standing there. His jaw clenched tight, the air does not seem right to him. Panic and fear slowly leave the area, the faint smell under it all is failure. Bakugou’s failure. He closes his eyes for a second and takes a deep breath, he is replying the morning in his head seeing if he missed a moment, any moment that you were spiraling and he did not notice. Midoriya knows not to say anything, he knows his omega.
He could not pick up any moment, “Fuck,” He mutters under his breathe. He runs his hands through his hair and starts to pace in front of Midoriya.
He is pack omega, head omega. Bakuogu knows it is his responsibility to heal, protect and handle these moments in the pack and he didn’t. “I missed it, I let her get that bad.” He admits, stopping in his pacing.
In a moment Midoriya is on him, his voice cutting through Bakugou’s spiral. “Don’t say that omega.”
Bakugou refuses to look at Midoriya, “She was off this morning and I did nothing, It’s my fault.” Midoriya does not respond. Instead he takes a step towards him, “You helped, stepped in when you needed to.”
Bakugou’s jaw tightened again, “No, I didn’t.” His red eyes lock onto Midoriya’s anger radiating off him.
“You stopped her from hurting herself more, you knew that your omega couldn’t reach her, she needed her alpha, and you knew that.” Midoriya brought his hands to the omega’s face, his eyes scanning over it trying to get him to listen to his words and believe them.
“I’m supposed to handle it.” Bakugou admits, quieter this time. Midoriya exhales, “You’re not supposed to do it all alone.” Bakugou rolls his eyes, “Hey, you know I’m right, it's your instinct, not your burden.” Midoirya replies softly.
“I couldn’t get to her.” Bakugou whispers, dropping his shoulders. “You weren’t meant to.” Midoriya admits. Bakugou frowns and tries to pull away. “You made the right call, you stopped her from hurting herself, you didn’t freeze, ignore her or walk away.” Midoriya paused, his hand on Bakugou’s chin, forcing him to look at him. “You stayed, and held her until help came, that’s what a pack omega does.” Midoriya pulled Bakugou’s chin forward, bringing their lips together.
“She was panicking.” Bakugou mutters when he pulls away.
“I know.” Midoroya nodded.
“I hate that I couldn’t be the one to stop it.” Bakugou admits, dropping his head onto Midroiya’s shoulder. “I know omega.” Midoriya wraps his arms around Bakugou, the pair swaying side to side, in the quiet.
“She’s… she’s okay yeah?” Bakugou whispers into Midoriya's neck.
Midoriya chuckles, “You know she is, Kirishima has got her and Denki helped him.” Midoriya pulls Bakugou with him as they leave the hall heading for Midoriya’s den. Bakugou watches the door as he leaves, knowing deep down you are going to be okay and next time he’ll catch you before it gets too far.
The pack's days off had finished, it was time for them to return to work. Half the pack was out at schedules and meetings. You were given an extended time off due to the attack and lingering effects it had on your omega.
The absence in the pack can be felt by you. Your omega does not like it. You are sitting on the couch, knees pulled up your hands resting on them. The TV is on, you stare at it but taking in nothing. Your fingers start to drift upward slowly. Hovering near your throat, your breathing grows shallow.
Across the room Denki pauses, he had been heading towards the kitchen, his phone in hand answering emails but the shift in the air stops him.
You’re too still and uneasy. He notices your hand hovering near your neck and how you stare out at nothing. Denki does not call out as he doesn’t want to startle you. Instead he walks over to Bakugou.
“Katsuki.” The blonde looks up at the alpha from the armchair, he follows Denki’s gaze and sees you. His omega goes on alert and is already moving before Denki can speak more.
Bakugou drops down in the seat beside you. “Hey ‘mega.”
You flinch slightly as you had not noticed him approaching. Your finger twitched and Bakugou gently took your hands in his. Your breath catches in your throat. “Stay with me, yeah?”
Your eyes lock onto his, tears filling them. “I can still feel…” Bakguou does not let you finish. “I know.”
Your omega whimpers, your fingers holding him tightly. Behind you Denki watches carefully. He does not step in, he doesn’t need to. It’s Bakugou's role but he is nearby if he is needed. “You’re not there, you’re here.” Bakugou says quietly.
Your breathing wobbles, you are not panicking which is a good sign but both alpha and omega know you are close. Bakugou glances up at Denki, the alpha gives a small nod.
Bakugou stands, “C’mon.” You don’t resist him when he pulls you to your feet and guides you down the hallway.
Denki watches you both go, knowing that Bakugou has caught you and does not need Kirishima to come home.
Bakugou leaves the door ajar as he brings you into his room, his omega nest. You pause as Bakugou lets go of your hand and begins to prep the rest of the room. He turns off the lights, opting for the fairylights, he closes the blinds and turns on the room heater.
He looks up at you standing there, and gently guides you to the center of the nest. “Sit.”
Immediately you curl into the blankets, you omega responding quietly. Bakguou sits beside you, close enough that your shoulders touch. His back is resting against the bedframe, and moment by moment you sink further into the blankets laying your head on his lap.
Your hand lifts again unconsciously but Bakugou catches it, bringing it to his lips giving it a kiss. “Not today.” He whispers. “You’re okay.” You hum in response, he gently pulls on one of the soft blankets and wraps it around you. The familiar scent of pack settles around you. Your breathing starts to ease out.
“Thank you.” You whisper back, after a moment. He huffs at you, “Tch, don’t have to thank me.” Your eyes close slowly, exhausting creeping in.
The dorm is quiet when Kirishima arrives home. He kicks off his shoes automatically. His alpha is restless after his long day. He had messaged you multiple times but had not responded. In the distance he could hear Mina laughing, Denki on a call and someone else on a live video with Nexus. He inhales, trying to get a sense of the den. There's an undertone of panic and an old linger smell of you and Bakugou.
His instinct tells him to follow the smell and not the voices. Kirishima finds himself at Bakugou’s nest, the door slightly ajar. Gently he pushes it open, the sight stills his alpha.
You’re curled deep in Bakugou’s nest, wrapped in blankets. Your breathing even, face pressed into Bakugou’s lap. Bakugou is still sitting up straight, one hand resting on your head, the other holding a novel.
Bakugou looks up, their eyes meeting a silently understanding passing between them. Kirishima knows what happened today already, he didn’t need to ask.
Your breathing shifts, as your omega can sense your alpha. “...Eiji..” You lift your head, eyes half open. He’s beside you in seconds, kneeling near the nest, knowing he doesn’t have Bakugou’s permission. You shift toward him without thinking, pushing out of the blankets. He reaches for you, hand resting on your side. “You okay?”
You nod, “Almost spiraled.” He jaw tightened but wills his alpha to calm. “You didn’t though.”
You shake your head slightly, “Kats caught it.” Kirishima glances at Bakugou, a silent thank you between the pair. Bakugou starts to shift on the bed, you move yours off his lap and closer to Kirishima’s arm. When Bakugou stands he nods at Kirishima, giving him permission to enter.
The pack omega knows he should tell Kirishima to bring you to his den but he can’t seem to want to let you out of his nest. In an instant, Kirishima enters, pulling you to him. Tension melting away from the bonded pair. “Missed you,” You mumbled to him.
“Missed you too silly.”
Bakugou watches the pair, his expression softens. He is satisfied that you are now fully grounded, his omega relaxing at what a good job he had done. “You did good omega.” Kirishima says, looking up at Bakuogu. The blonde rolls his eyes, "Obviously, shitty hair.”
You shift deeper into Kirishima touch, eyes closing and drifting off to sleep.
“She’s settled.” Bakugou says as he rests against the door. Kirishima nods, looking down at your sleeping face, his finger tracing over it gently.
“I hate that I can’t stop it.” He admits, taking a breath.
Bakugou sighs at the alpha, “You’re not supposed to shitty hair.” Kirishima glances at him. Bakugou gestures towards you, “She’s working through it.”
Kirishima looks down at you once more, your breathing steady. “She’s trying to.” Bakugou nods in agreement. “It’ll take time. Yesterday she even stopped herself from a spiral.”
Kirishima’s eyes flick up. “What?” he questions.
Bakugou keeps his voice low, as he takes a step towards the end of the bed, taking a seat. “In the kitchen yesterday, she stopped herself, I didn’t need to step in.”
Kirishima loosens his shoulders, “Really?” His expression is much softer than before. Bakugou looks at your face. “Yeah.. she’s much stronger than she thinks, but as you know, it’ll take time.” The pair sit quietly watching you as you sleep in Kirishima’s arms.
In the distance the front door opens again, a loud racket follows. “And, that would be my Alpha.” Bakugou gets to his feet and Kirishima chuckles. “We’ll be in his den tonight, stay here with her okay? The scent of the whole pack seems to calm her quicker.” Kirishima nods and settles down more into the nest.
Kirishima begins to purr, your omega responding in your sleep.
As Bakugou turned to leave, he walked straight into Sero who had been lingering in the hallway. The clash of omega and beta causes Kirishima to laugh. The soft rumble from Kirishima's chest made your eyes flutter open. “You woke her up.” Bakugou scolds the beta, batting at his arm.
“Maybe you need to look where you are going.” Sero responds by pushing himself into the room. Before Bakugou can reply, the door opens wider. Denki steps in first, Jirou just behind him. “Look who's finally awake!” he says out loud, jumping into Bakugou’s nest.
Bakugou lifts his hand, ready to shout and point at the Alpha but instantly Midoriya wraps his arm around the omega, stopping him. You manage a small smile, your heart warming at the sight of the pack's faces. The sounds of footsteps grow as more of the pack tumble into Bakugou’s room.
Todoroki, Shinso, Mina all enter in one by one, joining the rest of the pack. Their presence fills the room and your heart. You swallow the lump forming in your throat as you look at the pack around you. The feeling of anxiety, the attack… were still there but the pack presence acted like a shield, protecting you.
As the pack settled into the room, half in the rest the other taking the floor or just standing. All talking about their day or funny moments from the past. You felt tears prick at the corner of your eyes but not of panic but of relief. Your omega had survived, your pack held you tightly and guided you back. You could feel the collected warmth of every alpha, beta and fellow omega in the room surrounding you. You were not just protected, you were loved and that love was something you could lean on.
For the first time you understood, the healing from what happened was not about erasing it or just forgetting about it and moving on but it was about learning to breathe through the fear, to trust yourself and to trust your pack around you.
A small smile broke out across your face as you listened to Mina animated story, your omega purring and giving out happy pheromones. Bakugou and Kirishima exchanged a quiet look at one another, they would both be there for you always, they would pick you up and guide you until your omega knew her strength again. Denki watches them, a proud smile across his face. He locked eyes with Jirou who raised her eyebrow at the alpha, a look of I told you so.
Wrapped in the warmth of your pack, surrounded by family. For the first time in a lon while you felt the weight of what happened lift from your shoulder.
