Marking is the act of biting down into an omega’s or alpha’s skin. There are two types of marks a Mate Mark and a Pack Mark. The location of the mark and deepness of bite differs depending what type of mark has been placed.
A Mate mark is a mark placed on the mate gland, this is done by biting down on the mating gland hard enough to draw blood and flood the persons system with venom. There are two mate marks on both Omegas and Alphas, these are located either side of the neck at the base. A mate mark is painful when fresh, especially for omega’s as alpha bite very deep. To sooth a mate mark you have to lick at it until the venom closes the wound and the flesh heals. This can take hours.
Omega’s have to really bite and mouth at their mate’s gland in order to mark them. This results in the omega’s exhaustion and jaw pain. Whereas, due to their sharper teeth Alphas can bite down very easily only taking seconds to mark someone, not minutes.
Before a mate mark is placed the mating gland should be stimulated to reduce the pain, though it will hurt a lot regardless. To ready a mating gland you have to lick, nuzzle, and suck at it until the person is relaxed and body ready to receive such mark.
Mating marks fade over time and have to be re-done. Marks placed by alphas last longer than marks placed by omegas. This is due to the deepness of the bite and harshness of the venom. Alphas can mark alphas and omegas can mark omegas.
During the time a mate mark on an omega is fading, the omega will subconsciously let out a scent to alert and attract other alphas. Letting them know the mark is fading. This is because as a mark fades, so does the Alpha’s venom in the Omega’s system. This means they are once again able to get pregnant easily by other alphas. More so than normal as their fertility doubles during this time.
A Pack Mark is a mark pack alphas place on omegas within the pack. This mark is typically not placed on a gland, and certainly away from the mating gland. The pack mark is simply a way of the pack silently claiming the omega as theirs. These marks fade a lot quicker as there not as deep, and venom is not released.
Mating vs Sex -
Mating is passionate and loving, its all about strengthening the bond and making sure your scents and cum is all over each other. Oral is a big part of mating; it builds trust and strengthens the bond when done correctly. This means slow, sloppy intense oral. You can have penetrative sex and it still be mating but its all deep, slow thrusts and holding each other close. With rumbling, purring, scenting and slow soft make outs. If you are mated and another person scents you there your mate will feel betrayed by you and challenged by whoever scented, you.
Pack scenting isscenting done bymembers of the pack not related to you.Typically, only omegas and young alphas get pack scented. This is a way for packs to protect their omegas and young alphas as it shows the range of alphas that are in your pack. Showing exactly who you have protection from. This scenting is done on the scent gland of the wrists.
Parental/Familial Scenting is done by parents or older siblings, regardless of age. The reason for this type of scenting is protection. Parents scent their pups before they leave the house. Older siblings can also do this. The act of parental or familial scenting is done by nuzzling against the scent gland at the top of the head. This is to protect the pup, though even after pups have aged up into the phases of either omegas or alphas familial and parental scenting can still be done if the older sibling or parent feels its necessary.
Scent Patches -
Scent Patches are patches that can be applied to the scent gland located on the neck, thighs, and wrists. The purpose of these patches is to stop others from smelling you and there are different levels of strength in the patches. This allows for more or less scent to come through or none at all. They should only be used by people 18 and above otherwise they can damage and impact a pup’s system, skin, and scent glands.
Alphas and omegas usually use this when they are new to a pack. The reason for this is they don’t want to overwhelm the pack with their scent since its new. They use patches for several weeks. Decreasing the strength each week until they don’t wear any at all. This allows for the pack to adjust completely to the scent and keep everyone feeling safe, calm, and relaxed.
Contraception -
Contraception is used much like it is in the real world, with different types available per dynamic. There are a few types of contraception within the au. These are Condoms, Training Condoms, Birth Control, and Implants.
Condoms are just like they are in the real world, however, training condoms are a little different in the way they work. Training Condoms are a tighter condom with more lube that is slightly uncomfortable for the alpha to wear. They force an alpha’s knot to swell faster but restrict them so they can’t fully pop their knot. They are used by young alphas typically freshly turned young alphas who are new to sexual pleasure.
Birth Control and Contraceptive Implants for omegas like they do for women in the real world. There is one main difference though, it’s generally frowned upon or disliked for omegas to use birth control when they are mated. Unless they couple has had multiple pups.
Rough Housing -
Rough housing is a common thing within packs, mated pairs and between parents and their pups. Or even older siblings and their younger ones. Rough housing between alphas in packs is typically playful and lets the alphas bond more and younger alphas test the limits and patience of older alphas, specifically the head alpha.
When it comes to mated pairs, or pack alphas and their pack omega, the rough housing is a lot gentler and teasing. It’s a lot of flirting too, pinning each other again things and nipping at each other or grinding into each other. Not to mention the verbal provoking with teasing and playful insults to an alpha’s prowess.
Rough housing between a pup and their parents is much gentler. Its slight shoving and picking the pup up and gently throwing them on the couch or a bed. Theres’s tickling and holding the pup there between the two of u as u blow raspberries on them or kiss attack their cheeks while they whine and yell in embarrassment and thrash around to escape. Often exiting with hair messy and flushed cheeks as they yell how “you’re so embarrassing” or “the worst” though you know it’s not true and just teenage angst.
Sibling rough housing can be so rough, especially between two alpha siblings. It’s a way for older siblings to establish authority and train their younger sibling on how to protect themselves if they ever have to fight. Especially between alpha siblings and their younger omega siblings they want them safe.
Specific Sex related items (Not Normal Sex toys) –
Breeding tape is something used during sex to keep sperm inside of a sexual partner. Often used by alphas to keep their sperm inside an omega for breeding reasons and to ensure their omega gets pregnant. Though it can be used quite freely, many alphas using it on their mates even if that mate is an alpha or they have fucked their omega analy or when they are in birth control. This is because other alphas and omegas will small, they’re cum inside their mate and know that their taken. Making it another way of claiming.
Knot packs arefrozen packsthat alphas use on their knots if they can’t knot someone. The pack is a large help to alpha’s during ruts or sex when they have to pull out before knotting. The pack soothes the pain of a popped knot and helps reduce swelling and calm their knot back down.
Knotted toys are dildos with inflatable knots or knot attachments that can be attached to regular dildos. They are used by unmated omegas in heat to reduce the stress of heat and need to be knotted and bred. Some of them even have a “cumming” feature. The location and sensitivity of the gland is dependant on location. It is of course, inappropriate to scent a pup unless you're their older sibling or parent and the only glands you should touch are the ones on the cheeks and forehead.

Most of this is just for medical use in my Omega-verse.
No one uses medical dynamic names in daily use. They stick more to using a main Dynamic names (α, ζ, λ, ξ, τ, ω).
It is not uncommon for a ζZeta to go by αAlpha or vice versa. Same goes for τTau and ωOmega
It is far less common for someone to claim to be a τTau or ωOmega when they are a ζ Zeta or αAlpha / vice versa, or a λLambda / ξXi to claim to be anything else.

ζ Zetas have a knot & birthing organs, but no slick gland. Having boobs, does not define this dynamic or any other. Though most ζ Zeta’s do have them.
(Someone that looks like an α Alpha or ω Omega, could medically be a ζ Zeta.)
The more specific medical dynamics are based on their rut patterns & are not too different from their α Alpha counterparts.

The chance of a ζ Zeta becoming pregnant is extremely low. Around 10% if they are trying (no protection or medications).
They have a high risk of complications during pregnancy. The more ruts a ζ Zeta has while pregnant increases the danger of loss.
C-sections are highly recommended over natural birth.
A ζ Zeta’s scent is strongest during a rut, and it fades away slowly. So the more ruts one has, the stronger their scent is consistently.
They tend to be less aggressive then an α Alpha in rut, but it does vary based on personalities.

Many might find it weird if an ωUpsilon were named Richard, a name with a very α Alpha meaning. Brave, strong, ruler. Also with the nickname Dick... a lot of societies prefer an Omega that doesn’t use theirs...
No, a more likely name parents will pick for their newborn ωUpsilon would be, Theodore. A gift from god. And the adorably soft fluffy nickname Teddy.
αEpsilons would be given strong, warrior, ruler names. (Ajax, Eric, Griffith, Leroy, Richard, William)
ζKappa would have more protector names, or the more feminine versions of Epsilon names (Epsilon- Eric, Kappa - Erica)
λMu would have names that mean smart, wealthy (Albert, Edwin, Frederick, Geoffrey, Hugh, Otto, Ronald)
ξNu is the cute girl names that aren’t overly sweet like Tau names. Such as names the mean Light or Joy or Wise ( Abigail, Elena, Evelyn, Sophia.
I used the name Zelene for one Xi. It is apparently the female form of the name Zerach. Meaning light.)
τOmnicron would have cute names like Flowers, Gems, and the 4 seasons. (Lilly, Rose, Violet, Iris, Heather, Saffron/Ruby, Opal, Amber/Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter)
ωUpsilon names would be, like I already stated, Gifts, but would also have more nature related names as well. (Ash, Beckett, Oliver, Robin, Wren. I’ve used the name Leighton, which is a gender neutral name meaning ‘From the Town by the Meadow’.)
Different cultures can also have an influence on what they consider appropriate baby names.
These are just some of the ideas I had when looking for character names. Love to see what others think.
