Hot take: stop asking ur so and friends why they love you.
And by that I mean stop asking for a list of characteristics. Sure do it for fun and lighthearted reasons ‘i love this about you’ or ‘whats something you love about me’. But nobody can be expected to give you the full rundown of why they love you. This is beyond our emotional and cognitive capabilities as humans. Love is so much more than the attraction to characteristics, so don’t base someones love for you on the attributes they’re able to mention. Don’t call their love fake if they can’t name them. Love is a feeling, an expression, and a shared notion. It’s not a scientific causal theory that can be detailed out in words and number. Not to say you can’t love someone for the wrong reasons but you don’t have the right to claim a reason is wrong in and of itself or that someone holds such a reason.
