"i never forgot you. i just stopped saying it out loud." some faiths are quiet. they did not scream your name. they whispered it into candlelight and let their mouths close around it like a secret. the silence stretched, but it was never empty. when they need you most, they do not shout. they just stop breathing, and wait. you are the pause between the lightning and the thunder.
